dinning-and-kitchen

We brought out the table and chairs we had in storage so we can have Thanksgiving in the mission center tomorrow. We had to wait for the weekend because it is not a holiday here. So Sunday is better to celebrate on because the workers are gone, the kids are out of school and friends we have coming have an easier time scheduling it in too. Things are not quite finished, so Krystel and I will still have to cook at Felicity’s  house but we can carry it over and eat in the new dining room. We found this table two years ago at a garage sale. It has two extra leaves so we can extend it for times like this!

Happy Thanksgiving to our family and friends!

This has been an eventful month. We are so near completion of the construction of our new Dunamis Mission Center here in Manila, Philippines! We are giving you a little preview of what the center is looking like at this time. It’s beautiful and will represent Dunamis and the Kingdom of God well.

When we have seminars here at the center, the pastors will come to a place that is not only beautiful but welcoming in every way. Just as the old center was so wonderful to welcome God’s soldiers for a 3 day seminar, we will soon be able to begin training pastors here and equip them with the latest weaponry to do battle for men’s souls.

It gives them a sense of respect and honor that the Lord would provide them with such an experience and give them the tools they need to make their churches grow exponentially through one on one evangelism by their members.

front-house-nov-2019

The front entrance is looking awesome. It won’t be long before we can move our vehicles off the street and will be able to park in the garage.

We have always considered the Mission Center as theirs.  When they come here, they are coming to a refuge for God’s soldiers to be loved and encouraged and receive the best training for waging war against the kingdom of darkness that we can give.  These pastors come from very modest environments and when they arrive, they are treated with the respect you’d give your heroes of the faith. These wonderful men and women of God deserve the best that the Kingdom of God can give. We give them 3 days in a beautiful mission center where they are in the spot light of God.  It’s our goal to make sure they know they are special and give them what they need.  I’ve always said that if you teach a fisherman to fish effectively, that he can go home and never be hungry again. We believe the most important thing that can be taught to our leaders in our churches worldwide is how to fish for men’s souls. Do I hear an Amen?  Train them to do the Great Commission from Jesus in Matthew 28:19 – Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the son, and of the Holy Spirit.

Pastors come for boot camp at Dunamis International School of Evangelism!  For the 3 day training which includes stay in and food, all the training materials and the incredible training for 100 Pesos (that’s just two U.S. dollars!) In answer to your next question, yes it’s non-profit! Ha-Ha! I told you we give them the training from the Lord! Guys, we can’t charge more, because the very Pastors that need it the most can’t afford it. That’s also why we do mobile missions all over the Islands because we have to take it to a lot of them. They can’t afford to travel to here in Manila from their Islands even when it’s free. But when they are trained they go back and start building their churches. They build the kingdom by winning their neighborhoods and cities to the Lord and at the same time they can come out of poverty and feed their families because their churches can start taking care of them financially so they don’t have to work multiple jobs and can focus on God’s work in the church.

stairs-trio

The staircase is finally in, all the way to the rooftop! We still have to paint the rails and stain and finish the wood, but the wielder’s job is complete.

We have some debt at the end of construction. We owe now about $47,000 dollars. That represents payments of about $1,400 per month for 3 years. But we have no other debt! God is our provider but we really can’t afford any debt against our income. Please pray about helping us become debt-free again. We are non-profit so that means that there is no income except what our partners generously give to insure that we are able to do the seminars monthly. Calli and I are on Social Security and have a small rental income from 2 houses in the US. We use it all to do this ministry, so debt is not an option. Most of you know we had a large portion of our building fund embezzled this year by a long-time employee. Enough on that, but if you have any further questions about that, email us at tcp1976@aol.com. Personally, we turned that over to God and He can take care of it, we have other fish to fry, Amen? Or I guess I should say, fish to catch. Fishing for the souls of men and training our wonderful pastors!

We are moving up on Christmas and New Year’s. Please consider helping us clear this debt with some of your yearend gifts.

We love you all very much and miss you so much,

Tony, Calli, Krystel, Levi, and Wyatt and all our precious Dunamis staff

chairs-and-desk

Wow, what a find!

Krystel and I stopped at another garage sale this morning. We found these 26 chairs for the school. They are practically brand new. I think the people had a catering business for a short while. But anyway, we were able to get these for less than half of the price that they sell for here.

When Tony came to look at them, he also found this desk for $20 for the school office. We certainly were not looking to spend anything at this time but knew it was going to be needed this next year for the school. So if anyone would like to provide the $150 for the chairs and $20 for the desk we would be so blessed! They are even gray, so they will look great up under the cover on the rooftop. Looks like they were just made for us, haha!

Happy Birthday Calli
Celebrating Calli’s Birthday!
I had an awesome early birthday dinner with friends, Doug and Karen Stanton, who stopped by as they were flying home from Australia to Alabama. We had a wonderful couple of days to catch up and fellowship. Then on Saturday, on my actual birthday, we were able to have our final big pour on the mission center. The third floor is now in place and we will be giving you all an update in next months’ newsletter. Please keep this project in your prayers. It has been a long struggle to get the mission center rebuilt. We will be so happy to get moved in next year. It will have been over three years since we ran out that fateful morning with our Mission Center engulfed in flames. But God is faithful! He has held us all the way! Honestly we could use support for the finishing of the Center so pray and ask the Lord what He would have you do. We ask you to pray for us because of construction problems that we need the Lords hand on. We just need your fervent prayers to get us to the end, Amen?

Love you all, very, very, much,
Calli & Tony

Sharing the Gospel on the streets of Camotes Island during practicums.

November Seminars on Cebu and Camotes
Almost 50 pastors and leaders were trained in 2 locations, which were three hours apart by land trip and another two and a half hours by sea on board a ferry boat. Tuburan is on Cebu and is the largest municipality in the province in terms of land area, compared to Camotes Islands which is a group of 3 major islands, 1 small islet and is divided between 4 municipalities. It is sometimes called as Lost Horizon of the South because of its unspoiled beauty. Imagine the pristine crystal clear water, the powdery white sand, fresh environment and the breath taking view of the sunset. Over 900 souls were led to the Lord. Certainly this place will soon be more beautiful as “new creations” are birthed in this island at the onset of Stealth Evangelism Program. New batch of soul winners are ushered in to the Army of God, armed with the atomic bomb in their hands -357 Magnum (evangelism tool using the verses John 3:3,5 & 7)

Gemma a church leader, spoke positively that she knows a lot of evangelism tools but she cannot proceed to use them as she is struggling on how to start a conversation with a stranger. She is too happy now that she can easily approach a stranger and can open a conversation based on the pointers given in step one of the tool which is establishing relationship. And she remembered well what not to discuss during the inter action with a “prospect soul”. Now she can win a friend and at the same time win a soul for Jesus, Hallelujah!!

Pastor Elny is so happy and grateful to God for the Stealth Evangelism Program as he is convinced that this will certainly help a lot in growing a church and more so, he will be able to impact a lot of existing church members who are in quandary on how to serve God, by teaching them the tool. He envisions an army of soul winners who will win the whole island to Jesus. In no time at all with a fearless army, Jesus reigns in Camotes Islands.

Erlinda, a born again Christian and leader in their church for 20 years, but sadly she never approached anyone to share the Good News of Salvation. During the practicums, she won her family members to Jesus and she is no longer afraid to speak up for the Lord.

Tuburan and Camotes Island have their dots connected to Jesus through this effective and powerful soul winning training. They were able to put a security system in place to protect their physical being, which is Jesus. Sometimes we think we are secured and our security system is in place, but oftentimes we are confronted with the truth on what God’s desires and purposes for our lives, for our wealth, for everything we have. And sad to say, we realized that our security system is connected to a worthless power source, as illustrated in the story of a rich man in Luke 18: 8-30. As Jesus said “Come, Follow Me”, He is telling us the way of making all of us connected to Him if we heed His call, we connect to the Main Power for our Spiritual Security System. We must aim to bring this connection to every lost soul, so that individual security system is connected to the Main Source. Jesus said “Come, Follow me”. You responded to His Call, but what about others? Would you like to help them connect to Jesus for their Spiritual Security System to be installed from the Main Source of Power (Jesus). Thank you for the fuel you give to make the vehicle move. Thank you for sending us and we will go even to the uttermost part of the earth! God bless you all! We still need support to bring more seminars to these unreached areas of the Philippines, Praise God!

Glory to God forever and ever,

Ptra Remy T. Mordeno

MUST READ: EYE OPENING!
Building the Army of God!

Every month we schedule from 3 to 4 evangelism training seminars that are some of the most important trainings that are going on in this lost world today. Each seminar represents a number of churches because the students in the seminars are pastors and leaders of churches. Let me give you just a bird’s eye view of what is going on in the body of Christ worldwide. Evangelism which is the most neglected of all of God’s ministries has become through devious efforts on the part of the devil and his demonic forces “elementary” in the eyes of Church leaders worldwide. They have changed the word elementary in the Bible from being something learned that will always be a part of their lives, to meaning it is no longer necessary! Yes, the devil is a sly one that can pull such a thing off. There is a reason that this developed! It’s not always been that way, and there “are” pockets of evangelization going on across the globe.

The world needs more than pockets of evangelism going on across the globe with almost 9/10’s of the world not being born again. It’s going to take a huge effort to bring evangelism back to the front of the thrust of God’s army. We must rise up out of the ashes of defeat and build an Army of God for the 21st Century and beyond till Jesus comes.

The reason we don’t share our faith!

The number one reason we do not witness is the Fear of Rejection and this includes pastors, leaders, and members of churches. Yes, all of us have different levels of this fear. Not knowing what to say is the primary reason people have a fear of sharing their faith. That’s right, even pastors have the same fear as you do, because they haven’t been trained themselves how to witness, or what they have learned didn’t work that well and alienated some of their friends, relatives, and even acquaintances that they were trying to develop a relationship with in the past. This eventually made them reluctant to share one on one. This has caused Christians worldwide to be reluctant to share and many of the tools designed to witness have implementation problems with very low positive results.

I’ve been training pastors and leaders for the better part of 14 years with an evangelism tool that God gave me 5 weeks after I moved to the Philippines in 2003. The tool has evolved into a cutting edge evangelism presentation that takes 5 to 6 minutes to share the gospel to a total stranger with a super high close ratio of 90 to 95%. That is, if you start a conversation with someone using this technique, they are as good as born again because our students rarely miss with it. In addition to this, the Stealth Evangelism Program trains a pastor or leader what to do after he trains a group of reapers in his church. We train them to create a perpetual stream of newly born again believers in the church every month till Jesus comes. This makes the churches grow exponentially through one on one evangelism.

Back to Building!

You can be a part of building the Army of God and the Kingdom of God by sowing something monthly into this ministry. We have no debt so the money that you sow goes to the perpetuating of the gospel all over the world. The only thing you can take from this world into the next is the souls of men. We can’t take our possessions, but we can take all our friends, relatives, and the souls of men, women, and children from all over the world to heaven with us. Please don’t wait on someone else to do it, they’re not, that’s why the world is lost and going to hell.

Did you know that Calli and I were living at Lake Tanglewood when I was 50 years old, and I had the lion’s share of the real estate market out there with a big income? Life was good and we had a beautiful Chalet on the water with 3 boats and the most beautiful view we’d ever seen when God spoke to me and called us into the ministry. We laid our life down including our awesome house, church, business, our families and friends to follow the Lord. Today, we live in Manila, with a whole new life and our ministry reaches millions of people yearly through our training of these pastors and leaders. We have a lot of war stories to share when we get to heaven. If you’re a partner, our stories will be your stories. Don’t go to heaven without war stories because we are all soldiers of God. We need your help!

If you would like to begin partnering monthly with us to reach the unreached, you can go on line to www.dunamisinternational.org and make a monthly commitment to help us keep these seminars going. Remember no amount is too little or too much, what’s important is that you sow into the harvest!!!

Pastors had the surprise of their lives!

By Pastora Remy Modeno

More than 2,000 souls were taken out from the devil’s hand and transferred to the hands of the God during this batch of Stealth Evangelism training held in Compostela Valley.

Their traditional Annual Pastors Convention turned into a Stealth Evangelism Seminar. They registered more than a 100 participants and all the densely populated areas of the community were targeted, that is, saturated with one on one evangelism which resulted in a massive transfer of people from the kingdom of darkness to the Kingdom of Light, which is the will of God, and the heartbeat of God, to seek and find the lost, and that none should perish.

True enough, this was a deviation from the routine annual convention. Pastors had the surprise of their life as this is the convention that they that they all needed to learn how to do one on one evangelism for themselves and their churches. There were participants from a tribal group named Lumad, who are a group of non-Muslim indigenous people in the southern Philippines, who could hardly read and write, but by God’s grace learned this powerful tool of evangelism. God’s ways are higher than our ways and He has empowered the tribal pastors making them battle ready to witness to “kings and governors” (Mat 10:18) in their respective areas.

New Life and New Heart

In a world full of bad news, the Gospel offers hope and this training offers the same Hope to the participant pastors who were on the verge of retiring, or giving up their pastoral positions for whatever reasons. As the Gospel promises new life to the new believers, the Stealth Evangelism indeed produces NEW LIFE and NEW HEART to the graduates as they are eager to go back to their respective churches to train their teams to be coworkers in the harvest field, giving them a new heart for lost souls and a new pair of eyes to see the conditions of men’s souls.

It is my prayer that our ministry will be blessed with more partners who cannot go to the harvest fields themselves, and yet share their lives with us as they sow into this ministry.  It is like they are the gasoline providers of this evangelism vehicle and is equally rewarded as those who are sowing in the field. It is an enormous blessing to be involved in this ministry in whatever way God uses us, and it is to be acted with a sense of urgency and of utmost priority….Glory to God forever and ever.
