Literally…Fishers of Men!

Luke 5:10b: “Do not be afraid, from now on you will be fishers of men”

Pastoring a church for many years, Pastor Danilo Sabior and wife, Marichu had been boldly and aggressively taking steps to further advance the Kingdom of God. They have been very creative and innovative to ensure the mandate of Great Commission is well complied. They formed the “Dunamis Band” that competes with other bands in different areas and has already been awarded “Champion” many times. This band travels anywhere upon request to conduct free musical concerts for evangelistic purposes. They have also tapped the doors of police stations in the region using the tool they learned in Dunamis Stealth Evangelism. And have conducted basketball clinics and sports activities integrated with the 357 Magnum soul winning technique. They even won to the Lord Drug Surrenderees (drug addicts who have voluntarily surrendered to the police that are trying to get off their drugs) using the same tool and have created a specific ministry to cater to these people.

Their latest pet is the “Island Ministry” using a boat to go from island to island. This couple has literally become fishers of men. They even built their own boat to comply with the command of Jesus. They target the islands in Visayas regions that have remained unreached by the Gospel. They feed fishermen on the sea and lead them to the Lord. The boat still has some requirements and is not yet fully complete but partially operational. Being alumni of Dunamis International School of Missions we are so proud to encourage any of you that would feel led to support this powerful yet humble couple and their ministry that spun off our training several years ago. They are truly fishers of men as the Bible describes.

An October to remember!

Dunamis Team takes 8 Hour Ferry Boat ride to Romblon!

October to Remember: 75% Roman Catholic, 5-9% Muslims, with a population of 293,000, Romblon is a fertile ground for Evangelism, winning 776 new souls to the Lord. Reached by an 8 hour super ferry boat ride. Our team composed of volunteers, Pastor Joel Marquez, Sister Shine Tiberio, both alumni of Dunamis International School of Missions and our own staff Pastora Remy Mordeno, with Pastor Christian Teodosio, a graduate of Stealth Evangelism Program in Aklan who also organized this batch, went forth for His name’s sake (3 John 7), men and women God sent out on His endeavours (thru the Founder President Tony Poole) who are ordinary human people, but are extra ordinary in passion to carry out the task of bringing the sickle for the end time harvest.

Ptr Miguel was convicted of neglecting evangelism and felt that God is not delighted fully well in what he has been doing in the ministry and was grateful he attended the seminar and the fires of soul winning sparked in him.

Pastora Nery was so glad to have the courage to share the Gospel to their Barangay Captain and Councilor without difficulty nor hesitation from them, but received a hug as a gratitude for her doing so.

Pastor Ronqulio vowed that they need to make soul winning intentional and prioritize it over and above their other programs. Pastor Nenita is in a rush to teach her team and positive that their church membership will grow in exponentially. Pastor Nicandro, a pastor for 8 years, found the Stealth Evangelism technique very effective as the religious found it irresistible and undebatable, thus, they cannot help but accept the Lord in their hearts. Hallelujah!! Pastor Claro confessed he used to be very timid but the training made him a fearless warrior of God and he also felt the anointing of God in his lips as he did the presentation of the Good News.

Methodist are blessed by the training in Zambales!

In Macarang, Zambales, which was a 9 hour land trip, over a thousand souls received Jesus in their hearts during the training and opened the doors of a school for the Pastors to obtain a regular schedule to minister. Majority of the attendees were Methodist and Pastora Susana found the tool to be so easy and simple to learn and execute. Pastor Joan finally led all his children to the Lord and is keen on doing a family baptism for them ASAP.

Each one of us God has called to ministry. It may differ from one another, whether Pastor or a doctor, as long as we are born again, God has a purpose for our lives and a divine plan to advance the kingdom of God. And I thank God that He has connected us to persons with a heart for souls, in strategic times and places, to help us accomplish His Divine Plan of Salvation. We received the gift of being born again, and we are mandated to share this with others. As this planet is about to reach a population of 8 Billion, the world is in chaos and in a quandary. There is an urgent need to spread the Good News. There is only one HOPE, and that is in Jesus, and the time is NOW! John 9:4, I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.
Amos 8:11-12
“Behold, the days are coming,” declares the Lord God,
“when I will send a famine on the land—
not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water,
but of hearing the words of the Lord.
They shall wander from sea to sea,
and from north to east;
they shall run to and fro, to seek the word of the Lord,
but they shall not find it
……………………for tomorrow might be TOO LATE!! Glory to God forever more.

Our first pumpboat ride, although long, was fairly calm. But the return trip was to turn treacherous!

3 hour Pumpboat ride turns perilous for Dunamis Staff!

This month we held a training seminar on Balut Island. It is a volcanic isle about eight miles from Mindanao, separated by the Sarangani Strait. Balut, Sarangani and Olanivan Islands make up the island group known as the Sarangani Islands. We first travelled from General Santos Airport for 5 hours land trip by bus after which a pumpboat ride of 3 hours to reach the training venue which is also 10 minutes uphill walk from the seashore. Since the waves in the night were very strong and it is risky to travel by night, our team had to stay the night in Big Margus then early morning we took a pumpboat to Balut island. However, in the night in Big Margus, there was a 5.8 magnitude earthquake that shook the place violently and created a fear of tsunami as an aftershock. The pumpboat ride going to the training venue was quiet, since we are going with the current. But, 3 days later going back to proceed to the next seminar, it was completely different. Very scary!As the waves hitting our pumpboat were bigger than the boat, and made us soaking wet. It was a difficult and struggling ride as we are running against the current, and as the water would build up and form like miniature mountains. As they hit us, we would scream our fears away and sing praise and worship songs. Pastora Rose was really screaming because she had trauma already having experience being nearly drowned with a mission team years ago, which killed one of her friends. As for me, every time I saw a body of water forming to hit us, I just buried my head under my jacket. I told Jesus, I’m excited to meet You if its time, but I was thinking of 2 more seminars we are about to do, and I was calculating at least 2,000 souls more we can add to His Kingdom, if we will survive the sea trip. I thought I had recorded this on video, but I failed to press the record button and my phone was catching water so I had to put my phone inside my bag. The plastic bags we used to shield ourselves from getting wet were useless, and we were wet from head to toe for 3 hours balancing on a plank of wood stretched across the boat as a seat. We were not able to reach our docking destination because the waves were too strong and the boatman asked us if we could jump in the water and swim holding the pumpboat instead of us sitting on it. I nearly cried because I don’t know how to swim. This is an open sea which could bring us to Indonesia in 4 hours. Alternating the strong waves shaking us in the pumpboat, the water also sounded and looked like it is boiling, since it is the site of Balut Volcano. This is my very first time to ride on a pumpboat. Never in my entire life of 57 years did I imagine myself using a small boat for a 3-4 hours trip, but because our mission to bring the Gospel to the unreached prevailed, as this place is 70% Muslim and 30% Christian. We won more than a 1,000 souls in the 3 day seminar in spite of the area being predominantly Muslim with 5 Mosques on this tiny island.

I thank God for the company of Pastor Mamuka from Gensan who is a Chaplain Regional Director, and ECOFI and Overseer Pastor Divino Angke who never told us that we will undergo such an ordeal! We docked early on a nearby island since we cannot proceed further because I don’t know how to swim, plus I have 2 senior citizens with me who might not be able to bear the cold and the physical efforts. We were able to charter 4 single motorbikes that accommodated passengers and all luggage and materials, and travelled for another 40 minutes under the heat of the sun and our clothes dried up on our bodies. It was an adventure I will always fondly narrate to my grandchildren, how we endured and overcame the perils for the Gospel with God’s mighty protection. The bible says for us to work out our salvation with fear and trembling, lol! That is true, but me and my team, we will work with courage and boldness to reach the unreached, swim the deepest ocean, cross wide rivers, climb the highest mountains for the sake of the Gospel, as we know we serve Him through the Great Commission, He is with us and He is the One who works in us to fulfill His purpose to seek and find the lost.

Tsunami wave of evangelism on Bantayan Island

After Balut Island, we traveled to the next seminar on Bantayan Island, in Cebu, Visayas, which is 5-6 hours by bus from Mactan International Airport and is again accessible by the sea, but this time it was an easy 1-hour trip as we are onboard a big ferry boat. Yeah!!

Bantayan Island is across the Tañon Strait. It has a population of over 130,000 people. This seminar had 54 pastors and leaders who declared their breakthrough in soulwinning as most of them were first timers in one on one evangelism. Pastor Pepe has pastored for 32 years and this is the first time he is doing one on one evangelism, and won 46 souls during the seminar. As a pastor, he testified this seminar has had a great impact on his mindset, attitude, and life in the ministry. The pastors were so excited to see more than 1,200 souls saved during the training, for evangelism was highly neglected till now! There is a tsunami wave of evangelism that has risen out of this seminar.

Fire of evangelism hits Danao City

The next seminar is Danao City, just 3 hours away from Bantayan Island and the host church was one of the churches under Pastor Paul Chase of New Life, in Manila. Only 3,000 born again Christians in this city of approximately 130,000. 1,073 people were saved during this seminar. Pastora Rosenda testified that she ministered to a patient in the hospital who had no voice. After she prayed the sinner’s prayer with pastora, she regained her voice and said,”Jesus is in my heart!” Truly the Lord worked thru them and confirmed with signs and wonders. In this seminar, a lot of the student’s relatives were won to the Lord. And they have declared they shall reach all the Forgotten People in their lives because they are now equipped with a soul-winning tool that can reach their families, friends, and even their acquaintances that they are trying to build a relationship with.

In these 3 Stealth Evangelism Seminars we won thru the evangelism exercises more than 3,500 new souls to the Lord, over a hundred pastors and leaders were empowered and have committed to the Lord that they will make evangelism their life lifestyle from now on. The Gospel needs to be taken to the ends of the earth and the King’s business requires haste. We need to rescue the perishing or we’ll need rescuing ourselves (quoted from Reinhard Bonnke in one of his books)

I would like to think that we made the Lord happy and proud for we are able to prove that we will do what it takes, go where He will lead us, and we are more than happy and proud because we felt His mighty presence in everything we went through. We stand tall along with you who all share and support us in this vision of empowering believers to be soul winners. May we all finish the race He has set before us, without if’s, and but’s, and occupy the land til He comes!!! All glory belongs to Him, who is Lord of Lords, Kings of Kings, forevermore. Thank You Lord for this privilege of laying down our lives for the furtherance of Your Kingdom!

Taking Mindoro Island for Jesus!
1,147 Souls won in 3 days!

Roxas, in the province of Oriental Mindoro, Philippines has a population of 53,201 people. Oriental & Oxidental Mindoro have a population of over 1,331,000 total for the island. We have two more seminars coming up in Mindoro in June. It’s our desire to light the fires of evangelism on this Island, because like most of the Islands they have been neglected for a long time. We discovered that they are purposely not teaching English in their schools which is an effort to land lock the young people to the Island because of the lack of language skills. God has a calling on all the Philippines to be the launching pad for missions to all the world so hopefully through the spreading of the Gospel they will have a change of heart after we take this Island for Jesus. Halleluiah!

Folks, I hope you are getting a picture of what we are trying to do here. We will do another 10 to 15 seminars on Mindoro to make sure that we saturate the Island with an army of soul winners. That will easily equip 200 to 300 churches and create a soul winning army of two to three thousand. To put it into perspective, this seminar was our primer. We only had 5 pastors in this graduating class. The next seminar will be big, probably 40 to 50 pastors and so on. The more pastors, the more trainers we will create, the larger the army of soul winners. We will take this Island!

Details on Mindoro Seminar

The team travelled 3 hours by car to take a ferry boat ride for more than 3 hours, to bring us to Calapan Mindoro which is 128 km or 3 more hours to Roxas, where the training was held. (Total of 9 hours travel!) 31 persons registered for the class including 8 pastors headed by the host pastor, Michael Morante. It is amazing how God connects us to His remnants as the Church team is called ‘ACCELLERATE’, which they really did, accelerating in soul winning and church growth.

Pastor Michael had a childhood friend whom he had been trying to win to the Lord since they were kids. During the second day of training his friend called and he immediately notified his friend that he will come to visit them that night. On his visit, he witnessed to him using the technique we taught him, his friend and his family of 5 children were won to the Lord without any difficulty. The family and Pastor Michael were all in tears as they realized the father/his childhood friend has given his kids the best gift ever – the gift of salvation!!! Glory to God!!

Real Lack of Evangelism

There has been a real lack of evangelism on Mindoro Island, so churches are small with few members, which are a majority of youth. We had a number of youth in this seminar. God is bringing a change on that Island. Here are some of their testimonies of the Seminar.

Felicity is a pastor’s daughter and at 11 years old promises to be a powerful soul winner. At the onset, she felt stammering and shy but from the third practicum she could not stop how aggressive and bold she could be in sharing the Gospel. Her church mate motivated her that she can do it, and true enough, she had a break through from 2 presentations and 4 presentations in the first and second practicums, she did total of 32 presentations in the third and fourth practicums. Amazing results for an amazing girl!! Thanks be to God!!

Justine, 15 years old did the highest number of presentations – total of 56, while another youth Reymark won 76 souls, the highest number of souls won during this class. Justine became so addicted to it that he went to sleep early and woke up at 4am to start his practicum. And he averred he cannot stop himself sharing the Gospel. He felt the need to approach every soul that could be walking towards hell so they could be led to the Lord.

Sis Fancy had a great challenge winning her family members, including her problem son who is fond of drinking. When she heard the story of the Forgotten Person, it struck a chord in her and she declared it is now the appointed time for her family to be born again. After the session, she was in a hurry to speak to her son the verses of 357 Magnum, and son being sober, accepted the Lord without hesitation and told her he loves her. They were both crying and hugged each other which they have not done for a long time.

Martin is very happy that he does not need a year or so for a person to be a friend and win their souls to the Lord. With this tool, he is positive that as he wins a friend, he will definitely win their hearts to the Lord also!!! What a bonus! Hallelujah!

The tiredness of travelling for 9 hours by car and boat, all this fatigue, was wiped away hearing their testimonies. We all went home fulfilled and thankful to the Lord for the privilege of creating impact to the lives not only of our fellow workers in the vineyard, but of the unbelievers who later on received the Lord in their hearts. Thank You Lord, for making us instruments of bringing miracle to the new believers, and bearers of hope and good news, the only GOOD NEWS this world has. Each class reaffirms our commitment to further advance His kingdom and occupy till He comes. We are so blessed to be part of this undertaking, and we all believe God is releasing a bountiful reward for everyone who is involved in The Great Commission.

We are traveling on Sunday to Sarangani Province, where 2 classes will be held. With expectant hearts, we know we will again bring home stories of victory as there is victory in the name of Jesus!

Special request for our special brother!

Some of you will recognize our precious brother Pastor Al Regis who has served as a volunteer with us for about 5 years. He loves this ministry and is quite fruitful in serving this ministry also. He helps Pastora Remy set up seminars and facilitates some of the scheduling of these seminars himself. He also goes with us to other islands and helps as a monitor and practicum coordinator. I love Al, and you can tell by that sweet smile of his, you would love him if you knew him. Quite a guy!

AL had a stroke about 2 years ago and lost his voice for a short time. He later got it back but he still has to be careful and not over stress himself. His doctor wants him to do a MRI because he has been experiencing excruciating pains in his head from time to time. Al doesn’t have a real income except we give him a love gift when he works around the office and when he goes on trips with us. So, is income is looooow! The MRI cost money that he doesn’t have. He is one of God’s priceless soldiers and needs some help! I just want you to pray about helping him with the MRI expense which would be about $300. Anything else you want to do, he’s worth it! He’s a little guy, but the demons of hell run from him! HaHa! We need more like him!
