Tony & Calli with Evelyn
Tony & Calli with Evelyn,
our new friend and sister in the Lord!
Meet one of the “Beautiful Souls”
the Lord had shown to me!
I mentioned in April’s newsletter (see the reprint below*) the Soul Mate Bible we salvaged from the fire that I placed in my purse. Well here is one of those beautiful souls I saw coming to the Lord through it! Her name is Evelyn. We met her when she advertised some furniture for sale on-line. (Tony and I are searching for bargains to refurnish the mission Center after the fire.)

We not only purchased a few pieces of her furniture but more importantly were blessed to lead her to Jesus! She is such a precious lady. She was recently widowed when her husband passed away this January. So we all identified with each other in our grieving process. We have been back to see her several times and the last time we were there she gave Tony some of her husband’s shirts. Wow what a needed blessing! Tony gave her the Soul Mate Bible that I talked about in the last newsletter, the one we used to lead her to the Lord.

*Reprint from April’s E-mail
“Note from Calli: When I heard the words that He will give us beauty for ashes, He reminded me of the Soul Mate Bible I had just opened up and wiped the ashes from inside it, pulling the pages apart so I
could put it in my purse ready to be used. I saw all the beautiful souls coming to Jesus through this very Bible the Lord brought through the fire. The enemy thought he would crush us (which he did), but instead he’s just caused us to dig in and go on with more strength and power than ever (God’s perfect strength). Don’t get me wrong, the grief is still there, coming in waves. But with it now I can also feel the Lord bringing us through it, carrying us through it, because I don’t think we would have had the strength to walk through this. Praise the Lord we don’t have to, His grace IS sufficient!”

Two Mobile Seminars on the same trip to Mindanao
First in General Santos Citythen Polomolok, Southern Cotabato
JUNE 1-8, 2016
Pastors in Polomolok, South Cotabato have been requesting Stealth evangelism for almost a year now, but at their current financial status they could not pursue it. They are not able to afford the cost of transportation to and from the venue and the registration fee. But the opportunity has come that we were going to the neighboring province, to General Santos City.

So we were happy to announce to them that we are going to extend our stay past the General Santos seminar and travel by bus over to Polomolok and bring the seminar to them in their own city, totally free. There will be more than 50 pastors attending this most awaited training in Cotabato. In both of these 2 provinces, meals and materials will be provided by Dunamis.

Pastors from South Cotabato are doing their ministry in the mountains and are part of the Tboli tribe who can hardly support their own ministry but with this training, they have a glimpse of hope that there will be a significant impact/breakthrough in their ministries through perpetual evangelism in their churches.
These are very impoverished pastors that we want to help by bringing the training at no cost to them. Polomolok is 35% Islam and 57% Roman Catholic. With this training they can win their province and turn things around.

General Santos City is the birthplace of renowned boxer Manny Pacquiao. It has a 538,000 population (2010 census) and is predominantly Catholic, with only 8% Protestants. We are so excited to be able to impact both these regions with the Stealth Evangelism Program. We expect many thousands to be saved during these trainings. Please help us financially with these projects. They will cost us around $2,700 total including the air and bus fares for my staff and cost of materials, food, etc. You can sow into thousands of souls by helping support these seminars. Just designate Gen San & Polomolok on your gift. Thank you in advance from all the pastors that will attend and all the souls that will be saved.

STEALTH EVANGELISM TRAINING
IN NEGROS OCCIDENTAL
June 15-17, 2016
A graduate of Stealth Evangelism in the recently concluded training in Cebu City has organized 100 pastors in Negros Occidental.  Amazed with the  impact it gave him when he took the training, Daryll Calambro travelled 6 hours from Cebu to encourage Negros Occidental pastors to  undergo the 357  Magnum Training. Predominantly a Catholic region (85% are Catholics) it is also known as the sugar bowl of the Philippines, since the sugar industry is the lifeblood of the economy of Negros Occidental, which produces more than half of the country’s sugar.

The venue for the training is at the 5th District of   Negros Occidental which has 6 Districts, 19 municipalities and 13 cities. 2010 statistics disclosed a total population of 2.94 Million people. The 100 pastors attending the training will surely be the pioneers and front liners in the Evangelism Army of this province being this batch is the very first batch to take the Stealth Evangelism Program.

This seminar will cost us approximately $1,400. What an opportunity to build the Kingdom, Amen? You can sow into these pastor’s lives and the souls of thousands in this mobile seminar by going online and send your financial help immediately. We need your help!

God bless. We love you, Tony, Calli & all at Dunamis

grams in hospital

Just a couple of spoonsful of sugar to help the medicine go down!
Grandkids, Miles and Bree were just what the doctor ordered.

Grandkids visit Calli
in the hospital
Well, I don’t know where I ran into that ornery mosquito, whether it was digging around at the mission center or at the rent house or just out somewhere else. But the dengue fever gift he gave me sure took wind out of me for a while. (Praise God he left everybody else alone!)

The day before Tony and I were scheduled to fly to Zamboanga for the next mission trip, he was checking me into the hospital where I spent the next three days on an IV. I sent him on without me (he was just gone 2 days) and Krystel took over hospital duty taking care of me. (Thank you sweetie.)

Then the day my platelet count was finally above 200 Tony and I found out we both had picked up an ameba which is a deadly water parasite here. Last time Tony had an ameba was in 2006 and he got extremely dehydrated and spent 5 days in the hospital. We nearly lost him. This time we both got it but we knew what to do. So with both of us sick with the same symptoms we went to the doctor and had tests run. Found out for sure we had contracted the ameba. We went on medication immediately and are in the process of healing right now at home. Still having problems and a bit sick at times but we know we’re getting better, Amen? Guess my time of rest was not quite over! Boy, am I ever sick and tired of being sick and tired!! – Calli

Rebuilding process wheels
moving slowly but surely
The process of rebuilding the mission center here in Manila is slowly unveiling its self. Please be praying that God would give us His wisdom to know the right way to go. There are several options but we just want God’s way, Amen?

Each day seems to present knew ideas of what to do. I don’t want to start anything unless it’s God’s perfect will. Praise God, I need His wisdom to overtake me so that I know that know, Hallelujah! I am at peace right now with not doing a thing till I hear from the Lord.

I’m working with the insurance company to get the claim paid before we start. I’m trying not to get ahead of myself and start doing things that would get us started in one direction when we need to go another. I’m praying for a sound mind through all the stress of this!

Thank you all for praying for us so vehemently all these years and especially during this catastrophe and tragedy.

Love you all, Tony

In 2010 Wikipedia mentioned Zamboanga has 62% Christians which made me feel confident that we will not have a hard time winning souls there. As we were taken from the airport to the training venue, I was so excited to see the streets overly crowded with people and it was really a heavily populated area. I thought, wow, such a great place for practicum as we conduct the Stealth Evangelism training.

Little did I know that after the battle between the Philippines and the Islamists in 2013, the place was overtaken by Muslims and most of the local population fled and abandoned their homes to move to Cebu and nearby places. The area is now 80-90% Muslim and the spiritual atmosphere was more Islamic than we expected. Big shock for us! Very dark area.

It was the most difficult practicum we ever had, the most number of rejections, and the first time to have to go out for practicums wearing our Dunamis IDs so we will not be apprehended. Soldiers in combat uniform were everywhere in the area and we were a bit scared to go around as scrutinizing eyes were following us since they can identify who are the new settlers or visitors there.

Despite the prevailing, not so good circumstances, the pastors and leaders won more than 900 souls to the Lord and the students renewed their hope and confidence to win souls amidst a now Muslim dominated city.

Note from Tony: I had to stay in the Hotel the whole time I was there. They didn’t want me to go out without a full escort. Since we left there, there have been 15 Philippine soldiers killed in that area. Also, 2 Canadians have been kidnapped with the threat of beheading. We slipped in to a very dark region and trained 27 pastors and leaders. Let’s just Praise the Lord together!

Stealth Evangelism
Seminar in Cebu!
March 30-April 1, 2016
By Remy Modeno
LILOAN is a upper income class municipality in the province of Cebu and lies within Metro Cebu, which is actually a significant center of Commerce, trade and education in the Visayas Region. Metro Cebu is considered as the 2nd most populous metropolitan area in the Philippines with approx. 4 million people.

Ptr William Acuzar was advised by his senior pastor in Surigao City who had 2 batches of Stealth Evangelism in 2015 to organize a batch in his location. Now knowing how to promote the Program, he invited his colleagues, & leaders to attend and experience this awesome training.

A missionary for several decades, who used to do 4-8 revival crusades every month, he was surprised and amazed how the 357 magnum technique could win a soul in 5 minutes which causes revival. He is now organizing the 2nd batch to be conducted at the center of Cebu.

The batch led 1,096 souls to the Lord, and one special testimony of a soul being won was the mother of a leader who attended. He’s been born again for years, but he could not share to his mom who was a devout Catholic, but he was able to share the Gospel to his mother during one of the practicums, who was unable to resist and even cried after praying the sinner’s prayer.

Glory to God!

February 2016 Newsletter

Tribute to Felicity Poole Privado
May 27, 1983 – February 17, 2016
Felicity’s grandmother “Grammy” used to say to the kids, “Pretty is, as pretty does”! Felicity lived her life as a role model of that old saying. She loved her friends and family with all she had. We always said about her that she was the darling of the whipped pup society, she would always look for the person that was down trodden and lift them up. She was the princess of the lonely hearts, down trodden, people that needed a friend and those that others would look over and never see. She was a big giver and even when she had nothing she would always find a way to give. Greater love hath no one than to lay their life down for a friend. When Felicity went back into the house, she was looking for Erick and Bri and would not stop because she thought that he had gone back into the house. She never came back.

Miles Bike
Krystel found what was left of Miles’ little bike down in the dining room.
Wednesday morning, February 17, around 5:30 AM Tony woke up to see the drapes in the corner of our bedroom in flames. It was an electrical fire. He woke me up and pulled me off the bed. We tried to figure a way to put it out but we were dazed and the fire was relentless. I ran down the hall to wake everyone up and Tony slammed the door behind him and ran outside to the upper window trying to turn on the water hose outside the room but the flames were already out the window and climbing the roof so he ran down the hall and grabbed Miles and Felicity grabbed Bri and we all went down the stairs, the smoke was already getting heavy at that time. Krystel was trying to get Gracie to come but had to leave her hiding under the bed because the smoke was pouring in, we could barely breathe.  When we got to the street Felicity turned the kids over to Erick, and after doing a quick survey of the situation Erick took them up the street thinking Felicity was behind him. We had all made it out.  As best we can put together Felicity began looking for Erick and the kids and thought they had gone back in, she became confused or disoriented.  She ran back into the house calling for them. The only one to see her go back was a man who was working for us, he tried to stop her but she was too strong and pulled away, running and crying out for Erick and Bri. No one ever saw her again, she went up those stairs straight into the deadly smoke. By the time we realized she was missing it was way too late. We will never really know what was in her mind but whatever the reason we know it was her great love for her family and her brave heart that pushed her forward. Our brave missionary is in Jesus’ hands now!

If you desire to help us through this time and help Erick and the kids you can send your tax deductable gifts to Revival Fire Ministries International, (RFMI), at PO Box 30487, Amarillo, TX 79120 or give on line by clicking on the button below.

Felicity's Jesus Drawing
This picture was in the training room display cabinet when the fire broke out, the cabinet and the training room were completely burned out and up, yet this was setting in the charred room looking straight at me when I went in there. Imagine all the fire and water and yet there it was. We have a few of them that were in the stack all have a little burn but quite preserved considering.

From posts on my daughter Kari Brown’s facebook account…

My sisters drawing of Jesus that survived. Yesterday Pastor Ricky Pfeil said he could just see Jesus telling her “Hey, I like your drawing of me”. THIS was the highlight of my day! Please share it. It was how my sister saw Jesus. She’s now walking with Jesus and is the artist of his tapestries.
