Mission Center hit with Covid 19 in the first part of December

We’ve had two seminars on Luzon Island where we live in December and January. The results were amazing considering the conditions we were dealing with because of the current China virus pandemic. Early in December we all were hit with Covid 19 symptoms here at the mission center. All of us were sick for about two weeks but recovered just in time for Christmas! Praise the Lord! We didn’t talk about it to anyone at the time because we didn’t know what could happen if we contacted a hospital here in the Philippines. We did not want a government intervention unless completely necessary. We just took vitamins, rested and quarantined ourselves. We all came through it with no adverse effects. Well, my appetite died for a few weeks, because my taste was affected. Other than that, we quarantined ourselves to our rooms and pretty well, stayed apart in our two houses during that time. We were blessed that none of us had bad respiratory problems with it. After getting over that we did a seminar in the last of December and the results were fantastic. — Tony

December 2020

Weeks after the devastating typhoon, in December, Rodriguez, Rizal or previously named as Montalban was blessed with a Stealth Evangelism Program that provided spiritual relief. The flood wrecked most of the houses and most of the population were placed in evacuation centers, with nothing of their belongings being saved as they were all washed out by the flood that reached over their roofs. We had 1,360 souls saved during the practicums and pastors were happy to come out of their shells brought also by the pandemic. They were amazed how God moved during the training, seeing how open people are in accepting the Lord and were teary eyed as they heard the powerful 357 Magnum gospel message. Both the community and the students were equally blessed. The Gospel provided the new believers Hope from the tragedy they just experienced, and the students had their own breakthrough in soul winning, and in their confidence to share the Good News. Ptra Lorna was sick during the first day, but on the 2nd day she was healed as she was doing the practicum, and she took it as a reward from the Lord for being persistent to learn the new tool. She herself validated that the Gospel shall be accompanied with signs and wonders as evidently felt in her own healing. Pastor Franc averred he had an extra ordinary experience in attending the class and was very much fired up in reaching souls to be brought to the Lord.

January 2021

The year 2021 started with a bang by holding its first class for the year in Caloocan City. There were 1,173 souls won during the practicums, the class was commended for being punctual, organized and disciplined. Elisa claimed that the training made her bold as a lion, and thanked God that she was being equipped to be a strong soldier of Christ, with feet ready to go where God wants her to go to be a witness. Likewise, Jocelyn was born introvert, too shy to face or talk to a stranger, and very unsociable. She had difficulty in making friends, but lo and behold, the practicums made her friendly, easy to approach people and was able to build her confidence level and said though she may not be the best soul-winner, she has become braver and ready to hit the streets to talk to people using 357 Magnum soul winning technique. A group chat was made and this group has continued to win souls on a daily basis after the seminar. They say, they became addicted to sharing the Gospel of Salvation and will never end the day without winning a soul for Jesus. Truly, God is amazing and as we adhere to His Command, and as we are commissioned to do the Great Commission, He brings this simple tool yet powerful by the name of 357 Magnum Technique. This pandemic can never be the reason to stop the spread of the Gospel, but it gave each us a strong resolve to become fearless, and an unstoppable soul-winner using the technique.

Glory To God forever more, Ptra Remy Mordeno

Van is almost paid for only $3,100 to pay it off (Big Praise the Lord!)

In December we asked for help with paying for our school van we found to replace the one we sold during the construction of the New Dunamis Mission Center. We had to sell the former one to give us capital to finish the building. We bought a slightly used 2016 Toyota Grandia van with only 6,358 miles on it. It was a real deal! We put down $12,000 cash and made short term loans for the rest. Well, Praise the wonderful name of Jesus, we have already received $13,900 of the $17,000 which leaves only $3,100 left to pay it off. Please join with us with a big, I mean BIG Praise the Lord Jesus for the awesome support and many, many prayers we received for that wonderful vehicle. By the way we are taking the new van on its maiden voyage on the 8th of February to do a seminar up North of Quezon City. God is good all the time! This van will be able to ferry us to the seminars on Luzon Island and some of the close Islands south of Manila. Any place we can get to by land or ferry boats to the local Islands down South. Thank you again from all of us for the continued support to spread the Gospel and train the troops of God’s magnificent army. We love you all, Tony, Calli, Krystel, Levi, and the Dunamis Staff

dinning-and-kitchen

We brought out the table and chairs we had in storage so we can have Thanksgiving in the mission center tomorrow. We had to wait for the weekend because it is not a holiday here. So Sunday is better to celebrate on because the workers are gone, the kids are out of school and friends we have coming have an easier time scheduling it in too. Things are not quite finished, so Krystel and I will still have to cook at Felicity’s  house but we can carry it over and eat in the new dining room. We found this table two years ago at a garage sale. It has two extra leaves so we can extend it for times like this!

Happy Thanksgiving to our family and friends!

This has been an eventful month. We are so near completion of the construction of our new Dunamis Mission Center here in Manila, Philippines! We are giving you a little preview of what the center is looking like at this time. It’s beautiful and will represent Dunamis and the Kingdom of God well.

When we have seminars here at the center, the pastors will come to a place that is not only beautiful but welcoming in every way. Just as the old center was so wonderful to welcome God’s soldiers for a 3 day seminar, we will soon be able to begin training pastors here and equip them with the latest weaponry to do battle for men’s souls.

It gives them a sense of respect and honor that the Lord would provide them with such an experience and give them the tools they need to make their churches grow exponentially through one on one evangelism by their members.

front-house-nov-2019

The front entrance is looking awesome. It won’t be long before we can move our vehicles off the street and will be able to park in the garage.

We have always considered the Mission Center as theirs.  When they come here, they are coming to a refuge for God’s soldiers to be loved and encouraged and receive the best training for waging war against the kingdom of darkness that we can give.  These pastors come from very modest environments and when they arrive, they are treated with the respect you’d give your heroes of the faith. These wonderful men and women of God deserve the best that the Kingdom of God can give. We give them 3 days in a beautiful mission center where they are in the spot light of God.  It’s our goal to make sure they know they are special and give them what they need.  I’ve always said that if you teach a fisherman to fish effectively, that he can go home and never be hungry again. We believe the most important thing that can be taught to our leaders in our churches worldwide is how to fish for men’s souls. Do I hear an Amen?  Train them to do the Great Commission from Jesus in Matthew 28:19 – Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the son, and of the Holy Spirit.

Pastors come for boot camp at Dunamis International School of Evangelism!  For the 3 day training which includes stay in and food, all the training materials and the incredible training for 100 Pesos (that’s just two U.S. dollars!) In answer to your next question, yes it’s non-profit! Ha-Ha! I told you we give them the training from the Lord! Guys, we can’t charge more, because the very Pastors that need it the most can’t afford it. That’s also why we do mobile missions all over the Islands because we have to take it to a lot of them. They can’t afford to travel to here in Manila from their Islands even when it’s free. But when they are trained they go back and start building their churches. They build the kingdom by winning their neighborhoods and cities to the Lord and at the same time they can come out of poverty and feed their families because their churches can start taking care of them financially so they don’t have to work multiple jobs and can focus on God’s work in the church.

stairs-trio

The staircase is finally in, all the way to the rooftop! We still have to paint the rails and stain and finish the wood, but the wielder’s job is complete.

We have some debt at the end of construction. We owe now about $47,000 dollars. That represents payments of about $1,400 per month for 3 years. But we have no other debt! God is our provider but we really can’t afford any debt against our income. Please pray about helping us become debt-free again. We are non-profit so that means that there is no income except what our partners generously give to insure that we are able to do the seminars monthly. Calli and I are on Social Security and have a small rental income from 2 houses in the US. We use it all to do this ministry, so debt is not an option. Most of you know we had a large portion of our building fund embezzled this year by a long-time employee. Enough on that, but if you have any further questions about that, email us at tcp1976@aol.com. Personally, we turned that over to God and He can take care of it, we have other fish to fry, Amen? Or I guess I should say, fish to catch. Fishing for the souls of men and training our wonderful pastors!

We are moving up on Christmas and New Year’s. Please consider helping us clear this debt with some of your yearend gifts.

We love you all very much and miss you so much,

Tony, Calli, Krystel, Levi, and Wyatt and all our precious Dunamis staff

chairs-and-desk

Wow, what a find!

Krystel and I stopped at another garage sale this morning. We found these 26 chairs for the school. They are practically brand new. I think the people had a catering business for a short while. But anyway, we were able to get these for less than half of the price that they sell for here.

When Tony came to look at them, he also found this desk for $20 for the school office. We certainly were not looking to spend anything at this time but knew it was going to be needed this next year for the school. So if anyone would like to provide the $150 for the chairs and $20 for the desk we would be so blessed! They are even gray, so they will look great up under the cover on the rooftop. Looks like they were just made for us, haha!

Construction Continues Despite Obstacles

We are coming closer to the end of the construction of the new Dunamis International Mission Center here in Manila. Since the fire on February 17th, 2016 we have been in many calamities trying to build the center back. It took 14 months to get the insurance settlement so we could begin the construction. We can’t tell you in words how difficult getting your claim settled was here in the Philippines. The insurance company did everything possible to cut the amount that we had the property insured for. They lied to us from the very beginning sitting in their main office here. We were sitting there in clothes that had been given to us, they started by telling us that we were covered for things that later on they denied. Folks, when you have gone through such a tragedy and are in a state of pure vulnerability you believe that people would have the compassion to tell you the truth. Their lies started unfolding on us later. We were blessed by the Lord covering us all the way, or they would have robbed us of almost everything. When we finally settled with them they had swindled us out of approximately 27% of the claim. After 14 months of stress to get the claim, we had the task of finding a builder and drawing the plans then get a permit that took about 6 months and a lot of money to obtain. We spent about 5 months demolishing the old structure which was an ordeal itself because the old structure was massive and had to be knocked down by manpower and jackhammers. We had done most of the demolishing while we were negotiating the claim.

Seminars continue also!

In the meantime, we stepped up our seminars to average about 3 a month while all this was going on. We tripled the number of seminars that we did by switching to mobile seminars instead of in house seminars like we had done before. Mobile seminars now allowed us to reach more pastors and affect more churches with perpetual waves of evangelism that was created from the seminars. We were rising out of the ashes and impacting thousands of lives through our seminars and at the same time working on the building of the new center. So you could say that the new center is baptized with 10’s of thousands of souls being saved while the new center began rising out of the ashes of the old one! Hallelujah! I don’t have a clue how we have gotten all this done when our hearts were completely torn out by the loss of our precious daughter Felicity, but we all know that God’s Grace is sufficient. It’s not about our strength, but completely about His strength and love for each of us and all those that are affected by this awesome ministry. God is good all the time, He will never let us down, He will always be there for us, and only in Him is there victory and fulfillment!

We are still one or two months from completion of the building, we’ve had to borrow money ($50,000) to finish and it’s not enough, we are still about $20,000 short. I’m sorry we can’t really get the numbers closer than that because everyday something else comes up. We have about 16 to 20 laborers including, electricians, masonry guys, painters, tilers, window installers, air conditioning installers, and laborers. Most working 6 days a week. We are coming to a close on several different levels so we will quickly be coming down to mostly painters hopefully after about another 2 weeks. I want you to know that it’s not like in the states, the wages are much less. Yet after almost 21 months of construction, even the cheaper wages are hard to come up with. The well is running dry. After losing a lot of money to former 14-year employee embezzlement, we have sold the school van, Calli’s personal car, and 2 of our motorcycles, and other assorted assets to keep the project going. We have a F150 Ministry pickup that I can sell, but I’ve been holding off hoping we wouldn’t have to sell it also. It’s a mint condition 1997, 46,000 miles truck; it’s very helpful to the ministry, so I hope that we can raise enough money that it doesn’t have to go.

God is good! He is our Provider!

Guys we have been in ministry in the Philippines going on 22 years, since 1997. We have lived here in Manila 17 years of that. God takes care of us! In 2006, the Lord told me not to go back to the US and itinerate any more. Itinerate means to go to local churches back in the US and hold meetings and raise support. He said to me, “I’m going to show you my ways instead of your own.” So, since that time we quit going back to the states every year to raise support, and just stayed on the firing lines of the battle for men’s souls and trusted the Lord with bringing in what we need. He has taken care of us since 2006 without us coming back to the US for 3 months every year and interrupting our ministry with a 3-month gap every year. I can tell you it was like riding a wild roller coaster to do that. When God told me to stay home and that He would take care of it, it was such a relief. He has done that very thing. We do miss seeing y’all and our family, but we will have plenty of time in Heaven to catch up. Amen?
We do need some help and we are sorry to even have to ask you, but it’s getting harder every day to get to the finish line of this construction. It tears my heart to even have to share this. We know, everyone has problems, but we do know that when you give, the Lord says it will be given you. So we pray that the following scripture will enlighten your heart and bring you much joy with the opportunity to give. It’s like buying war bonds in World War II except better because you are sowing into the Battle for Men’s Souls. We are waging battle for millions of souls being brought to the Kingdom of God by these Pastors and churches.

Luke 6:38 – Give, and it will be given to you; good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.

With this statement from the Lord we know that this is an opportunity to be blessed sowing seed into the Kingdom of God and we pray that your return would manifest in financial prosperity and spiritual prosperity from sowing into souls!

Love you all,
Tony and Calli

Our newest grandson has arrived!

Join us in welcoming our newest family addition! Wyatt Callen Anthony Bordi was born on October 8th. He and mama Krystel are doing wonderful. Proud daddy Levi is doing great too, especially now that everyone is home from the hospital. Tony and I are so blessed to have them here. If any of you that know and love them would like to bless baby Wyatt with a shower gift, just make a notation on your gift and we will get it to them.

Please pray we get finished with this building soon so we can move in. The construction is so exhausting with all the overseeing and running after supplies etc. We so want to get our focus back to just the school and ministry of Dunamis. Well…of course there will always be plenty of Gram’s focus on these grand kids around here. The Lord has really blessed us to be able to have Felicity’s two and now little Wyatt around.
