“God’s ways are not our ways!”

Pastora Remy Mordeno

Another successful training program took place in the Visayas Islands, this time in Poblacion Carmen, Bohol. God’s ways are not our ways. Expecting a big group of 60 pastors as planned, only 15 showed up and 14 graduated. God has sent the remnants for this region that had powerful testimonies who were equipped to lead God’s army in advancing His Kingdom. All declared that nothing can beat this technique which they have just learned! God most often uses the remnant to wage His battles. Remember Gideon’s Army of 300. Any of us can be a part of the Remnant!

Two Bible school students, Sahara and Analou, got addicted to soul winning! They did not want to stop during the practicum. They enjoyed it so much. Pastor Tommy, the host pastor, discovered a way to win those people who are familiar with him and vice versa, without being detected. Catherine had a change of mindset, has now prioritized one-on-one evangelism in her own “Jerusalem” (city).

Dream Fulfilled!

Jacinto, a former drug addict for more than 30 years, surrendered to the Lord and in one of his prayer fasting stints, dreamed of meeting a foreigner who is putting something in his pocket. Now, in the training he realized that this is the realization of his dream. A foreigner, in the person of Pastor Tony Poole, has placed something of great value into his pocket which is the tool to win souls in only 5 minutes!

“Better than a college diploma!”

Great things do not always come in big packages. Great batches do not necessarily mean a big group. They were all teary eyed as they received their certificate of completion from Dunamis. Earning their evangelism certificate is worth more than a college diploma* they were saying. A college diploma is only valid on earth and earns them a living. But a certificate from Dunamis counts for eternity as they earned it through bringing souls to the Lord which gives the new believers a new lease of life, being a new creation. Truly, there is nothing on earth that counts for eternity, but the souls of men. With this training, we are raising a new breed of GENERALS of God’s army who will continue to advance the kingdom of God and occupy til Jesus comes! Imagine the number of souls a graduate of Dunamis can win in his/her lifetime is beyond numbers we can quantify or describe. It is countless, infinite and eternal. Not only they personally win but the people that they train in their churches will win. Is there anything more priceless and worth more than combined treasures here on earth than SOULS of men won through these trainings who will all join us in heaven as we worship the King of Kings and Lord of Lords? It’s gonna be a great reunion in Heaven, a reunion of reapers, souls won, and those who are part of making this training possible, right? Glory be to God forever and ever! -Ptra. Remy

*Note from Calli: I don’t think most people in the US understand how important a college diploma is to people here in the Philippines. It is required in almost any job they apply for. (I’m talking about even a job behind the McDonald’s counter!) It doesn’t matter so much what field it is in as long as you have it. Otherwise they will be passed up for another applicant that has one, and there is always a sea of applicants behind them waiting for that job. It is vital for their survival and the survival of their families. So to say a certificate from Dunamis is more important than a college diploma is a tremendous statement. It shows that they really realize the severity of winning their fellow men to the Lord before it’s too late! They have prioritized the eternal over the temporal, wow what a lesson for us all!

Speaking of Eternal over the temporal…

What am I here on this earth for?

(Excerpt from March)
This year has started off with a bang, in that we have anywhere from 3 to 5 Mobile Seminars scheduled every month. When we do a seminar there are invitations during every one of them to come and do a seminar in other locations. Some times 2 to 3 invites. This means our schedule is filling up for months in advance to do seminars all over the Philippines.

Well, if we do 4 Mobile seminars every month the cost is between $5,000 to $6,000 per month. Our total income is between $2,000 to $2,500 monthly from partners. The rest comes from our personal Social Security and about $2,000 from rental income which is not always there, because of expenses and vacancies. In other words we are running full blast at a $3,500 deficit per month and we refuse to stop. I’ll die first! I don’t want to be here on this earth unless we are helping these pastors to grow and become self-sufficient in their ministries and lives. We can’t just stop or slow down because the world is 9/10’s lost and going to hell. We cannot give up or slow down no matter what, we need your help Now!!!

We’d like you to ask yourself one question, “What amount could I give on a monthly basis that would not impede anything else going on in my life?” Sometimes people don’t give anything because they think it’s too little. If everyone that we know would realize that something is better than nothing, I truly believe that the deficit that we’ve been experiencing would be obliterated and the kingdom of darkness will shake in fear from the results.
To give you an idea, every month we see 5,000 plus souls won to the Lord just doing the seminars. That doesn’t include the residual effect of the seminars in the local churches that participate. 35 families giving $100 a month would do it. 100 families giving $35 a month would do it. Please pray about it and pray for us.

You can be a part of this battle for men’s souls by joining us with your monthly support helping us reach out to pastors to train them how to win this lost and dying world.

Now today…

We want to thank all of you that continue to sow monthly helping us bring these priceless trainings to the pastors here in the Philippines. It is creating a tsunami wave of evangelism here and you are a part of making it happen. Just wanted to let the rest of you all know that we still need your help to fund the ever growing demand for more seminars all over the islands.

Love you all, Tony & Calli

News on the
New Mission Center!

We know a lot of you are wondering what has happened on the building of the new Mission Center here in Manila since the fire on February 17th, 2016. It seems like a snail’s pace, and it has been. First of all it took about 15 months to receive any money from the insurance company here in the Philippines and it was a fight to the finish to get our claim. (We’ve been told that’s par for dealing with insurance companies here.) We actually only received about 65% of the claim that we were supposed to get, and the old mission center would have cost about 35% more than the original claim to rebuild it just the way it was. So, from the beginning of trying to get our claim processed we knew we couldn’t build the same house for what we had it insured. Good news is the delay gave us time to rethink what we were going to do. God revealed a wonderful strategy to not build on all the property we had, but to only use 3 of the 5 lots that the old mission center took up. Now we have two lots left free that we can build on or sell off at another time which are pretty valuable here. God is good all the time isn’t He?!!! Oh yes, they are all paid for! Yeah!!!

We have our plans drawn and the contractor and architect are working on plans to use some of the foundation and columns from the old structure that will save us a lot of money. We estimate that we can get started with the construction in the next 6 to 8 weeks pending issuance of permits. Overall construction should take 6 to 7 months, and then we will have a beautiful new center to work out of. It will be fully paid for in spite of all the things the enemy threw at us trying to steal the proceeds of our insurance claim. It may even be a possibility to build another structure that could house the school, big enough for the students to stay in just like the old center, next door on one of the extra lots. We won’t start that without a full go ahead from the Lord, and it would have to be fully paid for at the end of construction which is absolutely feasible at this time. Do we hear an Amen to that? God is our protector and provider, Amen?!!

Letting the fire
out of the fireplace!

We currently have been doing mobile missions which allow us to take the training to pastors that could never afford to come to Manila for the training. We take it to them. We’ve seen a huge impact in the lives of so many pastors and leaders all over the Philippines just since we focused in on Mobile Seminars since the fire. It let the fire out of the fireplace and is spreading all over the Philippines because we had to start doing mobiles after the school burned down. We had thousands of Bibles and manuals that survived the fire in a little bathroom off of the office in the house. Everything else burned! Praise Jesus, we did a seminar in Cagayan de Oro 6 days after the fire that destroyed everything including taking the life of Felicity our 32 year old daughter. 3107 people were born again during that seminar alone!

Folks, God says in His Word that, “all things work together for the good of those who love Him and are called unto His purpose.” The fire brought on a directional change going from a stationary school to a mobile school which has brought more impact. Some how God turns the worst circumstances into something even more productive in the Kingdom of God. We went from 1 or 2 seminars per month to 3 to 5 seminars per month. We went from training 20 to 30 pastors and leaders per month to 80 to 150 per month.

Stay focused no matter how difficult things get and God will bring about a supernatural miracle in your life. If you don’t step off the pathway and continue on with the Lord no matter what, you will prevail with the Lord! Remember all things work together for the good of those that love God.

Kolambugan Seminar

1,018 Souls Won!

This trip is the offshoot of our Ozamis trip in May when Martial law has just been declared in May. A graduate of a batch held in Ozamis City organized this class, where 38 pastors/leaders attended.

Kolambugan, Lanao del Norte is 47miles away from the war stricken Marawi City and is a 4th class municipality in the province of Lanao del Norte. Composed of 26 barangays with part of them from Maranao tribe, the practicum sites proved to be very rewarding and people are open and receptive to the Gospel. A Muslim minister was won to the Lord without difficulty using the 357 Magnum technique. The situation in Marawi has facilitated the easy flow of sharing the Gospel. People are already eager to hear the Good News of Salvation, and learned to put hope in their hearts, the Hope in Jesus as the war in Marawi continues to progress. There had been news that the backup team of Maute had arrived as support to fight against the government. The siege is still in progress, claiming loss of lives between the Maute rebels and the government troops. But one thing is sure with Dunamis, our fight against the devil continues to proceed. We shall continue to claim lives of “old men” to bring birth to a “new creation”. Nothing can stop the Gospel to be spread, with or without war, with or without bloodshed, we shall continue to march on and advance the Kingdom of God by finding the lost and sharing to the lost the Gospel which is God’s power for salvation, because it shows us that the righteousness of God is through faith for all who believe (Rom 1:16).

I pray that more souls shall be won thru this Stealth Evangelism Training and more pastors and leaders are empowered, bringing back the Great Commission to the center stage of the ministry, as it is the only ministry that expires on earth, (no more evangelism in Heaven, only worship!!) Its the only ministry that can populate heaven and plunder hell. Glory to God in the highest!!!

Note from Pastor Tony!

Friends, we have cut back to two seminars monthly until we get more support raised. Each seminar costs between $1,200 and $1,500 to go and do the training. Each seminar will usually mean somewhere between 1,000 to 5,000 souls won during the seminar. Then the residual effect of each pastor trained going back to his church and training a team of soul winners that are activated to do one on one evangelism creating a perpetual stream of new souls every month from now on.

When you sow into one of these seminars you are sowing into all the evangelism and multiplication of reapers that is generated from that seminar, throughout their life times and generations to come. Some of these guys become the Billy Grahams and super pastors and evangelists of the future. You get a piece of that action with whatever you sow. You can sow $50, $100, $500, $1,000 monthly or whatever God leads, it all goes to the mobile missions. The pastors need the training now. We can’t take it to them without your help.

I ‘ve always said that when I go to heaven, I want to have war stories to share with Peter, Paul, Matthew, Mark, etc. My war stories are your war stories when you sow or support these seminars that are equipping God’s chosen with the weapons of warfare to plunder hell for men’s souls. Glory to God! Join us in reaching the world with the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ!

Laced with terrifying check points, fully armed soldiers, evening smoke from ongoing horrific battles nearby;

Dunamis staff braved 3 back to back seminars in war torn MuslimProvince – Lanao del Sur!

This last month, my team went into a very dangerous area on the martial law laden Mindanao Island! We sent 4 of our staff and volunteers to hold 3 seminars to train pastors and leaders with our cutting edge evangelism program (Stealth Evangelism Training Program) I want you to read the stories of the experiences they had that most of us would consider perilous and not something you would dare go do.

Calli and I were in Europe for 3 weeks (with our daughter Krystel and her new in-laws) while this was going on. It was a tough decision to have them go ahead with the seminars once martial law had been declared over the region. My first response was to call it all off one day during breakfast in Budapest I called Pastora Remy and told her to contact our travel agent and cancel the flights, call all the pastors and cancel, etc. That evening God woke me up with a sense of peace to let them go. So, I called Remy again and we decided together that it was the best thing to go ahead. All our staff and volunteers were ready to go into the battle region and do the seminars. Now, read for yourself their harrowing accounts of the seminars.

We have two more seminars this month that will cost approximated $2,200 to go do. One is back in the same area of the war in Mindanao in Lanao Del Sur which is also infested with the IS Muslim group and militant NPA group. There is still danger but my staff is fearless. The other seminar is in Cebu and I’m leading that group personally. We have determined that I can’t go with the team to Lanao Del Sur because I would enhance the danger for the whole group because I’m an American. It might be suicide for all of us with me along. Please help us continue to bring the war for men’s souls to these regions where the devil is trying to keep them from hearing the Good News.

You can join us right now with financial support for each of these seminars that we bring every month. We need help!!!!!

Love to you all, Pastor Tony Poole

Flying into danger
Yet safe with the Peace of God!

Pastora Remy Mordeno

remy-at-airport-2
Despite the high risk of safety travelling to Mindanao, Dunamis team of 4 took flight on June 4. With the Peace of God, we were bound for Lanao del Sur where Batch 1715 of Stealth Evangelism Training would be conducted in Kapatagan, just 3 hours away from Marawi City where the civil unrest is at its height, where Maute/Isis connected and government troops exchanged fire, as the former wanted to take over the city and make it a regional headquarters of ISIS.

Batch 1715 is composed more of elderly pastors/senior adults who had a hard time memorizing the steps but showed strong desire and determination to learn. They had very low educational attainment but were high in their spirits to win souls for Jesus using our 357 Magnum technique. Hence they did not have difficulty doing street evangelism. Many Muslims were won but majority of them refused to give us their contact numbers for fear that they will be called on to join ISIS or persecuted. This batch won 1,148 souls during the practicums. Our team had troubled nights as in the middle of the nights they woke up with powder smell from the military air and land assaults in Marawi.

Passion for Souls

Pastor Rodrigo has been a pastor for so many years, but admitted that it is during the practicums that he first did soul winning on a one on one basis. Stewart was surprised that Evangelism could be that simple and easy. He used to shy away from witnessing. Another student Cielito, her persistence paid off with an old woman she was witnessing to, who was very antagonistic, but when Cielito began reading the verses 3, 5 and 7 of John 3, she was won to the Lord and cried while praying to accept Jesus.

Sis Dominica was planning to go home and do the evangelism exercises in her place away from the actual practicum sites. She feared she will have a difficult time doing her practicum because she does not know anyone in the place, but she saw one of our staff members following them so she and her 3 teammates were compelled to do the practicum at the assigned designated site and they were overwhelmed with the result. They were glad they were able to share with strangers! Praise the Lord!! This boosted their confidence in soul winning. With the passion for souls burning in our hearts, our team continued with the training through graduation, of which we had 28 graduates with 16 pastors and 12 leaders. Then we proceeded afterwards on a 5 hour land trip to the next batch which was in Zamboanga Sebugay!

Highest priority –
Finding and winning the lost!

Batch 1716, in Kabansalan, Zamboanga Sebugay is in Northern Mindanao where the vast majority of its people are Muslims. This batch was so grateful Dunamis team came. We realized the highest priority should be on finding and winning the lost. With the current civil unrest near this province, we were moved to share the Gospel before ISIS could come to their place. We have taken on the burden of giving them the Gospel before these unbelievers could be slaughtered. We were warned of experiencing Acts 8:1 (persecutions) if we fail to do Acts 1:8 (receive power and be witnesses of Jesus). As in the case of Marawi, hundreds were killed and beheaded during this 30 day war between government troops and Maute which is ongoing even now! During this Batch we had 1,148 souls won to the Lord. Praise the name of Jesus!

Ptra Anelie, despite being a pastor, was suffering from lack of confidence in witnessing because she was afraid that she will mess up the words of God and confuse the lost person by not knowing exactly what to say. Eager as she was to win a soul, she used to bombard a person with so many verses which invited more questions and doubts. Thanks to the 357 Magnum technique, sharing the Gospel has become so easy and direct to the point, the unbeliever no longer wants to debate nor refuse. Praise the Lord!

Through check points and martial law!

After this batch, the team went to Tamaraan, the next location! Passing thru 8 foreboding military checkpoints manned by 14 to 15 heavily armed soldiers for a 3 hours land trip. The first checkpoint was really the most scary moment of the trip because the military stopped the vehicle, asked us to roll down the windows, bring out identification cards issued by the government and asked us “Are you Christians?” all 5 of us seated in the car were tongue tied, speechless and cannot utter even a simple yes or no. We were too confused what to answer because it could spell life or death. (There was news that in an instance in Marawi, a group of 9 persons were asked if they are Christians, and only one survived the beheading because she was able to recite a Muslim prayer while the other 8 were immediately beheaded.)

But after seconds of silence, our driver who is a Pastor’s brother residing in Zamboanga finally said “Yes, they are all Pastors!” and it was the cue for us to go and leave the checkpoint. All the other 7 checkpoints had a similar question plus they ask where we will be going and what we will be doing there. Praise God, we survived the checkpoints with butterflies in our stomach every time we approach a checkpoint manned by 14-15 military men in their combat battle ready attire with their bullets, armalite, guns on public display. After all, it is martial law in the area!!!

The outermost part of the world!

jungle-2
Batch 1717 in Tamaraan, Zamboanga City is the last and farthest city in Zamboanga, making it look like “outermost part of the world”, with all the jungle. No electricity during the evenings as the source of their power is from Marawi City, this is the biggest batch among the 3, having 41 graduates and winning 2,006 new souls to the Lord! This is the batch with major highlights and received a major impact in the seminar. A pastor and his wife were about to quit in the ministry but were curious to see our caption in the poster that says “learn to win a soul in 5-7minutes” and since it is a free seminar, they attended. Their love for the ministry revived and their hearts flaming with the fire of evangelism, and is now more keen on doing the Ministry the Lord has entrusted to them. They vowed to restart with an intensified zealousness and enthusiasm to get positive results pioneering a new church. Bishop Robinson declared that this seminar is a life changing event as it caused a paradigm shift about the Great Commission. It is an empowering tool and people are transformed to be fearless and unstoppable soul winners. Glory be to God!!!
