“A great birthday gift from God!”

This is Donna Bulawan a youth pastor and pastor’s daughter! You will find this to be one of the most inspiring testimonies we have videotaped! Donna said, “It changed me, it changed my life so much!…This is a great birthday gift from God!”

10th-anniversary

Oh my goodness, it’s been 10 years since Calli, myself, and Felicity arrived in the Philippines on March 5th, 2003. Pastor Noli Cadelina picked us up at the airport that day in our 2000 Toyota Grandia Van that we had bought and paid for over the phone. We had 6 suit cases and 3 carry-ons, one year’s advance rent paid on our first mission center and just $12,000 to completely set up the ministry center that would be home to both the school and us.

van-trio

Top Right: Toyota van awaited our arrival in 2003.
Left: It is put to work during every class.
Bottom: It was joined by a second van and is still running strong.

Well, it was only 6 years before, that we took our first mission trip to the Philippines and in October of 1997. We were here about 3 weeks and it was a tough trip. We got on the plane and I adjusted the air conditioner control in the ceiling of the plane and said to Calli, “Calli, I shall not return!” At the time I meant it. God had a different idea about that, because we ended up returning once or twice a year until we moved here. We knew when we were preparing to come that it was going to be permanent. Many missionaries have come and gone since we’ve been here, but the Lord told us from the start that we would never live in the US again. This may seem a sacrifice, but it is a blessing to us. We love the people and God has given us a wonderful ministry that will go on even after we have passed. We do miss our family and friends always, but the commission of God compels us to do His great commission without looking back on our previous life. Again, I think of this old hymn “Turn your eyes upon Jesus, look full in His wonderful face, and the things of earth shall grow strangely dim, in the light of His Glory and Grace!”

eddie and abner

When God called me into the ministry, I had 60% of the market share in Lake Tanglewood real estate business in1996. My business was really thriving and we were living in a beautiful house on the lake. We had a boat house and 3 boats. I told Calli, “Bury me on the hill behind the house.” I wanted to live and die right there. We were contented as two frogs on a Lilly pad, then BOOM! In Feb.1997 God completely consumed me and changed the whole direction of our lives. That’s putting it mildly. I wouldn’t take for the life He’s given us in the ministry, we’re doing what we really love in life and that’s helping others. We loved our life at the lake and we loved our church Trinity Fellowship, but the call of God was much greater than all other things in our life. Calli and Felicity were both committed to the same, and we all laid down our lives as we knew them and went on to a new chapter and life with God’s leading.

Just a small fraction of the classes of pastors and church leaders
trained each month for the last 10 years at Dunamis!

The Beginning of Dunamis

We established the school a few short months after we arrived. At first Dunamis was a pastoral school teaching pastors different aspects of ministry and equipping ministers using apostolic leaders like Pastor Noli Cadelina and Dr. David Sumrall and many others to bring their gold nuggets of knowledge and impartation to the pastors.

pastors-church-leaders

10 Awesome Years of Ministry and God’s Great Leading and Provision!
This is just a tiny fraction of the thousands of pictures
we have in our archives of the school’s history!

Stealth Evangelism Born

Ironically God gave me a soul winning presentation about 5 weeks after we arrived here in the Philippines. It started as a two page curriculum and has evolved into a full blown Evangelism Course we call The Stealth Evangelism Program that’s considered many, to be one of the best evangelism programs in the world today. It took nine years of evolution to make it what it is today!

When pastors attend the seminar most will say to us “You’ve changed my life forever, or I’ll never be the same!” These statements from those wonderful men of God are what keeps us going even when we have tough times financially. We do know that God will always provide, but we don’t always know where the provision will come from, Amen? He is faithful! We can trust in Him!

Speaking of provision, when we came here we rented property for about 5 years, then God instructed us to go buy a house. Well, when He told me to buy a property, I didn’t have two pesos to rub together, that’s a nickel in US currency. (Americans can’t own property and banks won’t loan to foreigners.) When He instructed me, although I was a bit taken back, I went ahead and followed His instruction, just trying to be obedient. You can imagine what the Realtors thought when they asked me how much money do I have to put down! I’d say, “I don’t have anything but God will handle that!” Then I wouldn’t hear from them. A pastor referred a couple of lady realtors to me and the rest is history.

mission-center

Mean Ministry Machine!

To make a long, long story short, through a series of miracles, we are living and working in a beautiful mission center here in Manila and we own it! We have a low interest loan on it and only owe 1/4 of its market value. We remodeled it and when we were done we didn’t owe anything on the entire remodel. It’s a school, office, and Calli and I have our own quarters in it. We can house 25 students for each 3 day class. The Lord has also provided 3 multi passenger vehicles to shuttle the pastors and leaders to the places where they go out witnessing during their practicum exercises. The place has a large storage building where we keep all the supplies and it’s like a compound almost self-sustaining in a gated community. It’s a Mean Ministry Machine! God is good all the time, Amen? That’s right, I don’t miss the lake except for the fishing, but I replaced fishing for fish with fishing for men, Halleluiah!

Fishing for Men Now

Speaking of fishing for men, we’ll only know when we get to heaven the eternal impact that we are making on the building of the Kingdom of God. Thousands have been training to evangelize and plant churches. Several million souls have come to the Lord through the efforts of our alumni. We hear of 10’s of thousands yearly but it’s more than we can know, because we can’t track it all. Every time we train a pastor and he goes home to his church and trains his members there is perpetual soul winning going on and we all get a piece of that, because we put the weapon in their hands to do it, and you our partners keep it all going, Amen!

Ten Year Celebration Gift

We owe right at $20,000 due to the fact we are running in the red right now at about $900 per month, so gradually we are building a debt because of the deficit income to the ministry. It would be such a blessing to us if you would consider helping us get rid of that debt as a 10th year celebration gift. Wow, God is so good, and we love you all! Hope you enjoyed hearing of our little 16 year adventure serving the Lord. Praise God, Praise God, Praise God, and Praise Him again and again.

Love you all so much,

Tony, Calli, Felicity, Krystel, and the Dunamis Staff

world-ablaze-calli

I woke up this morning from a dream of the world ablaze. Flames spread across the entire globe. The Lord quickly reminded me of a prophetic word that was spoken over Tony, Felicity & I, more than ten years ago as we were preparing to leave Amarillo and move to Manila. We were at River Road Fellowship in Amarillo, where a group of people had come together to pray over us and send us out. I believe it was our dear friend Debbie Hiltbrunner that spoke of seeing fires ignite all over the Philippines as we went. She saw those fires spread from Island to Island and said they began leaping across the ocean spreading to other nations and even reaching back to the US.

In these last ten years in the Philippines, we have witnessed the Lord setting fires of evangelism in each class as we train pastors and leaders in Stealth Evangelism. We are doing our best to go out to other Islands spreading that fire. Please pray for us as we prepare to take it to other nations. We need God’s guidance, grace, timing, and provision!

I read the following article on GodVine.com recently, and wanted to share it with you. I looked on line and found out the cross, which is located in Colorado, has deteriorated over the years, but below is a picture of it on a post card from the early twentieth century.

Hope it touches your heart as it did mine.
God bless. Love you all, Calli

post card holy mountain

The Image of the Cross

(reprinted from an email from www.GodVine.com)

Nestled deep in the Rocky Mountains of North America stands a rugged peak. For nine months each year it lies robed in snow, indistinguishable from a dozen others surrounding it.

But as summer arrives and the air warms, the mountain slowly sheds its blanket of white, revealing a massive emblem. High above the neighboring valleys, an 1100 foot vertical gouge bisects a 400 foot horizontal groove, forming an almost perfect image of the cross of Christ. This sight is so impressive that famous American artist Thomas Moran visited the mountain to paint it in 1875. The peak is aptly named “The Mountain of the Holy Cross.”

In winter, only an expert could single out this particular peak from those around it. But in summer, any child could look at these mountains and easily choose “the one with the cross on it.” The only real difference in this mountain and the all the others is the enormous image etched into its face.

We spend much of our lives creating a thick layer of “achievements.” We climb the career ladder, push our kids to excel, move to a better neighborhood, pursue another degree, all in the hope that we will somehow become more popular, wealthy, powerful, or influential. Like a thick blanket of snow our conquests and achievements cover us, deposited one tiny flake at a time until we are totally obscured. For many of us, self- esteem and self-worth come from what we have accomplished or how much we can buy or who we know.

Yet one day we will awaken to a new reality, an endless day in which all our values will be turned upside down. All that we have done, said, created, bought, and built will be brushed away, melted like snow under the gaze of our eternal Father. Deep within each one of us He will seek the one thing, the only thing He truly cares about: the imprint of the cross, the mark of His Son.

Nothing else matters to Him. And on that day, nothing else will matter to you. Do you possess the one thing that really matters?

…..And I would like to add: Have you made sure that the people around you every day possess the one thing that really matters? Cause that really matters too!!!!

What a victory!

Jimmy Andal, Youth Leader, Mamatid Int’l. Mission for Christ, Cabuyao, Laguna

“I was excited when we were invited to this training but my excitement was short lived because I found out that I will share the gospel to strangers and that made me very scared. So on the first practicum, I really was scared and intimidated and was not able to witness at all. However, thru the loving admonition of the staff, I had recovered my confidence and the thought that what is at stake here is eternal damnation for the souls that can be lost forever, I composed myself and through the infilling of the Holy Spirit I was able to share the word of God and win souls to the Lord. What a victory! I want to give all the glory to Jesus and I want to thank Pastor Tony and the staff of Dunamis for their dedication in their field of ministry.”

Personal Note about Jimmy from Pastor Tony: Jimmy came back from the first practicum so defeated. We took him aside and talked with him and I assigned a monitor to go with him. The next day he started witnessing and came back from 0 to fourth place in the winning of souls for the class! Jimmy just returned from Afghanistan where he was a security officer and he’s a big guy with bigger heart!

Stealth Evangelism Made my burden light!

Pastora Norma Manuel, Missionary / Pastor, Hosanna World ministries, Inc. Cabuyao, Laguna

“On January 19th, the Lord instructed me to prepare my 2 year calendar of activities. The second week of each month is dedicated to evangelism and church planting in 6 provinces. My assignment is to train workers and young pastors. Stealth Evangelism made my burden light. My passion is winning souls and to plant churches will be more exciting and productive because of these 3 days and 3 nights of training. It is so basic and simple and less threatening, so that even new converts can learn it quickly. And for the mature pastors and missionaries, it could be a life changing experience…”

“In my case, my faith has increased due to the new converts brought to the kingdom in 3 days. My perspective on personal evangelism has drastically changed. Stealth Evangelism will be our regular church program from this day on. As a leader of our church organization, I will endorse this program to our denominational organization, Christ to the Philippines, and many other para church organizations, to quicken the end time harvest.”

You make it possible!

These are just a few of the testimonies from January’s last class. Remember your faithful giving each month keeps this training available for the local pastors here in and around Manila and also makes it possible for us to reach out to those on the other Islands who cannot afford to travel to Manila for the seminars here.

Many times we think that unless we are able to give great amounts that it doesn’t make a difference. You know, if you gave P50, P100, P500,P1,000, or P5,000 per month you would help us take the training all over the Philippines which would greatly increase the growth of every church where we train their leadership, and it will help insure that we can continue this awesome work for years to come. Please consider starting this month to partner with us monthly.

God has put us in a very cost efficient place and we are proud that we’re able to continue this work, but right now we are in the red monthly. The recession has hurt every ministry we know including ours. If we can get our monthly support up to where we are no longer in the red, we will be in the green and green means go, Amen? “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.” Mark 16:15. Remember “Win the Philippines! Win the World”!

We love you all, Tony and Calli Poole

Calli and I with some earthly treasures we intend on exchanging!

Exchanging the Treasures

of this World for Heavenly Ones!

I woke up 2 days ago crying, I actually had tears in my eyes during my sleep. It was an interesting dream, yet it was more than a dream. The Lord was speaking to me, and reminding me of this scripture: Acts 3:6 – Then Peter said, “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.” This is a powerful scripture expressing how Peter was capitalizing on what he had to give. He didn’t have gold or silver, but he had the power of God to heal the sick, so he used it right then and there! What do we have laid up and tucked away in our closets, safety deposit boxes, or hidden somewhere where no one can find them, yet could bring healing in the truest sense of the word? When people are lost worldwide and needing to hear the gospel, we have our little trinkets tucked away safely, and honestly we will probably die some day with those trinkets hidden away. Yet they could have gone to save some souls. Each of these trinkets stand for lost souls that need the Lord. Things we could have given to be used to “buy” them out of hell so to speak, and put them on a heavenly highway just like us.

God reminded me again of the 1993 movie, “Schindler’s List”. The story of Oskar Schindler, a greedy German factory owner made rich by exploiting cheap Jewish labor during World War II. By the end of the war, with Germany loosing, the Germans began killing all the Jewish laborers. Yet Oskar had grown to love those men and women and could not stand aside and watch them be murdered. He had accumulated great wealth during the war, so he took his money and started negotiating deals with the Germans for the people. One by one he bought more than 1,000 men, women, and children with all his wealth, till he had spent it all. They were all gathered together to see him off so he could run from the allied forces that would imprison him. He was standing at the back of his car with nothing left but his car, and a gold SS lapel pin. He looked at his Jewish friend that had been with him all during the war, and he began to cry uncontrollably, then he said to him, “Why did I keep this car, it would have bought ten more people? Or this SS lapel pin, it’s gold, I could have saved two more!” He just kept crying as they ushered him to the car, consoling him in his agony.” Schindler was crying and distraught about physical lives of people, but why do we not feel even more distraught about the souls, the eternal lives of people?

I am so grieved as I write this to you. Silver and gold I have to freely give, but what I don’t have are these lost souls! As I awakened from my dream, the Lord reminded me of my original wedding band that we had tucked away. Calli and I had replaced our rings in 1999 after hers became damaged and we chose identical new rings that had crosses on them. We dug out my original band and another ring of Calli’s she never uses, and we are going to use them to help with the costs of seminars this year to win more souls. Exchanging the treasures of this world for those we can take with us to Heaven!

Many of us have gold, silver and gems lying around gathering dust when the souls of millions of people are going to hell my friends. Please pull out the things that are lying dormant, doing nothing for the Kingdom, and partner with us, sow them where they can help reach souls. We need to be in many countries this year and in the coming years. Everywhere we go we light fires of evangelism. We have a very powerful program that activates churches, getting their members out winning those around them to the Lord.

Although I never use it anymore, I’ve had that wedding band for 37 years and it is precious to me, but those souls are more precious than all the gold and silver in the world. Turn your eyes upon Jesus, look full in His wonderful face and the things of earth shall grow strangely dim in the light of His glory and grace! Amen?! I love you all! May the Lord richly bless you this year as you seek the Kingdom first in all your lives.

To all our Filipino friends here in the Islands, we have so many invitations to go places here and take the much needed Stealth Evangelism Seminars all over the Philippines. There are many pastors that need this training in their cities and provinces. We are in need of funds to go do these seminars for pastors that can’t afford to come to Manila for the training. You can be a help in making sure that we are able to do mobile missions every month through continued support. Whatever you can afford will help take a seminar to someone that could not otherwise avail it. You can also dig the gold, silver, and whatever up and sow it so we can activate 1,000’s of Christians through training their church leaders to train them.

If you want to partner with Dunamis for the purpose of helping us do mobile seminars monthly here in the Philippines or sowing a one-time gift of any kind, please call our office at 809-5633 or 753-8092 or my cell phone at 0920-626-4334. You can email us at tcp1976@aol.com
We love you,

“I believe every born again Christian

should learn this tool!”

Pastor Redgie Composano, associate pastor at Jesus for the World Movement, Cavite, Philippines

Although Pastor Redgie Composano was quite busy with his church and his business it was his prayer that, “Lord I will seek Your kingdom first and all these things shall be added unto me just as You said in Matthew 6:33.” So, he set everything aside and came to Dunamis to take the Stealth Evangelism Seminar. He said what he learned at Dunamis was “that every born again Christian should not be just sitting on their chair every Sunday but to help work, establish and build the kingdom of God. I believe every born again Christian should learn and apply this very light yet sharp evangelism tool, the Church will grow…and we can extend and build the Kingdom of God.”

Bishop Romeo Ancheta , senior pastor at King’s Mission – Lord’s Glory Church, Bulacan, Philippines

Coming to Dunamis and attending the Stealth Evangelism course “has awakened my evangelism spirit for the lost. It humbled me, I thought having been in the field for years, I know everything, but it is just the beginning! The training I received rekindled the fire within, the vision and passion that burns within to reach so many dying souls without Christ in their lives. This is a very simple technique for reaching the lost, a very encouraging way of presenting Jesus to people. The more we do it, we become addicted to it.

THE BOLDNESS!

Pastora Lilian Carole Ancheta, associate pastor at King’s Mission – Lord’s Glory Church, Bulacan

Things I learned in this training:

• Every person is a treasure and needs to be saved
• Time is gold, I need to use it, not waste it
• I must be ready anytime for the harvest
• I feel the passion and love in my heart for the forgotten (lost)
• I feel happy, comfortable and confident sharing the Gospel

An EXCELLENT TRAINING! The permanent change in my life is the boldness I have now. THE BOLDNESS!

“An addict for soul winning!”

Pastora Elma P. Tolentino, senior pastor at Jesus the Messiah International Full Gospel Church, Caloocan City.

“Stealth Evangelism Training impacted my life…it can be presented to people young, old, even children, male, female, Catholic, Iglesia ni Kristo, Mormons, Muslims, Jehovah Witness, and even those who have not joined any religion or denomination. It is basically very light and extremely sharp evangelism tool in this current time. It has made me an addict for soul winning. It is a lifestyle, my every day life!

Ministering to the forgotten people changed my heart to be more compassionate and I felt privileged to be an instrument to lead people to accept Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior. It even increased my passion to serve the Lord.

I am so thankful to Pastor Tony Poole and staff for this ministry to Win the Philippines, Win the world! “

“New Hope for

Enlarging Our Church!”

We shared testimonies last month from our Stealth training we did in Houston, Texas. We just received an additional one in an email from Pastors Jaycee and Evelyn Faison from The Carpenter’s Shop Soul Saving Station in Houston. It is a relatively new church that was started in their home.

“Our goal is to win many souls to the kingdom and to enlarge our local assembly. We needed the right tools to win souls because we were somewhat fearful and apprehensive. We were told by a friend of the class, Stealth Evangelism, teaching witnessing a simple way. We were so honored to take the course and to learn an easy and simple way to witness. We are now witnessing and more confident in doing so. It is a joy to see the look on people’s faces when they give their heart to the Lord. It is so good to hear them say, “Jesus is in my heart!”
