Sun over valley

God shines His light on Compostela Valley as we head out to our first practicum to share Jesus with the local people.

Two more back to back seminars in different region of Mindanao Island

February 25-March 02, 2019

Another uttermost part of the world and the Philippines has been reached in Compostela Valley! ComVal for short, is a province in the Philippines located in the Davao Region in Mindanao.

We have been blessed this month of February with pastors and leaders from United Pentecostal Church, in January we had Catholics and Methodists, and a few evangelical pastors in the seminars.

Maragusan Student

Witnessing to students inside a local school in Maragusan

The first of these back to back seminars was in the Municipality of Maragusan where they showed zeal and enthusiasm in soulwinning as they learned the evangelism tool. Ignoring the heat, and hunger in the practicum, the graduates claimed it was all worth it and their tiredness was wiped away and replaced with joy as people received the Lord as their Savior.

Pastor Dondie shared that upon hearing the story of The Forgotten Person, he felt so guilty that he had many friends and relatives that he had failed to share the Gospel to. His goal now is to reach out to them and be bolder in sharing this gospel message he said is so simple yet powerful and profound. He committed to winning them all, so God will not hold him accountable for their souls.

Witnessing at Mongkayo

Sharing Jesus with people on the streets of Mongkayo

“The Greatest Job on Earth!”

Pastor Ramon took a 3 day leave from his work to attend this training. And he didn’t regret losing 3 days wages, because he won so many souls that have eternal value! These souls are worth more than treasures on earth. He now begins a lifestyle of evangelism in and out of season because of the 357 Magnum evangelism tool he learned from the training. He even inspired the batch to do the greatest job on earth which is winning souls.

The second seminar in Mongkayo, the Pentecostal pastors and leaders were amazed with the tool and averred that they have attended many seminars, but the Stealth Evangelism was different in a way that it has practicums, this caused fear in the beginning, but later they became bold and enjoyed doing them. They had so much joy that they pledged to do the practicums as a lifestyle. The burden to preach the Gospel was put in their hearts. Pastor Ruben was able to start his Jail Ministry during the practicums, and Pastor Rey will start equipping his evangelism team. An elder in the Church was crying in the graduation as he shared his conviction that despite of doing the ministry for many years, his family is left out and has not been led to the Lord. He will make sure they are all born again. They were all surprised that this method can use Christian jargon, using the word “born again” and yet the average non-Christian can receive it positively.

Witnessing, Practicum at Mongkayo

In Mongkayo. Left: Praying with people in local eatery. Right: witnessing to couple.

“…To Please God…”

These newly empowered soulwinners found a way to please God. 1Timothy 2:3-4: “This is good and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of truth”. They have received their marching orders of our Captain Jesus! They are bent on obeying it at whatever cost for the main reason of showing their Love for God and love for their neighbor. Truly the Great Commission fulfills the Great Commandment of loving God and neighbors.

At least 100 new Generals of the Lord’s Army were deployed in Compostela Valley, and close to 3,000 souls were born again. That is only the beginning of millions of souls to be led to Jesus until He comes.

Glory to God forever and ever. As Jabez prayed in 1Chronicles 4:10, we also pray that He will Bless this ministry indeed, enlarge its territory, and would keep it from evil. And for all your support, we thank you that you are one with us believing that The Great Commission is the mandate of God, and He intends everyone to fulfill it in each generation. Thank you for joining us in communicating God’s love and forgiveness to everyone, and giving them the chance to hear and believe. — Remy T Mordeno

Prayer request from Calli

Please pray for me as I leave tomorrow for two weeks to see our daughter Krsytel in Austria. I am going to help her prepare to move to Manila in April. She and her husband Levi are preparing to relocate here with us and will be able to provide us some much needed assistance! Pray for them as they are making this change. Pray for God’s guidance, safety and provision for us all. Love you!

Note from Tony!

Now don’t forget to pray for me too, because I’m going to be here all by my lonesome! Calli fills a large hole when she’s here. So give me a boost while she’s gone.

This building has been very hard on both of us, mainly because it has been now more than 3 years since the tragic fire burned our other mission center and everything we had, not to mention the immeasurable loss of Felicity our daughter. We are ready for this construction to be over.

The new center will be incredible. We both ask for prayer concerning everything about the completion of the project including the finances for completion. Friends please just pray that God will finish the job and Glorify Himself in it! Love you all, Tony

Makati Training

Pastor Tony and Pastora Remy teaching in Makati at Word for the World Christian Fellowship

The Lord has blessed us with 3 classes to start with this year. They won over 4,000 souls to the Lord, with almost 200 pastors and leaders receiving a breakthrough fulfilling the mandate of the Lord as mentioned in Matthew 28:18, by becoming avid soul winners and future trainers!
Makati Practicum

These are two of our students witnessing during the practicums for the class in Makati!

First class of the year: Makati, Metro Manilla

The first class is in the center of commerce, in Word for the World Christian Fellowship Makati, in preparation for their new huge sanctuary being built and is nearing completion. Makati City is a first class highly urbanized city in Metro Manila and is the financial center of the country with a highest concentration of multinational and local corporations, which include major banks, shopping malls and foreign embassies being situated in this city.

The class found the training very exceptional and is a God sent tool to them because in their community, belonging mostly to the elite or upper class, it is a bit difficult to approach people. It has been also an eye opener for the students as during the practicum they recognized that people need Jesus and Pastor Tony has challenged and inspired them to be a witness of the Lord with urgency and with passion. As they received a breakthrough in the ministry of evangelism, they were able to conquer the fear of approaching strangers (we call it fear of rejection), and became more sensitive to listen to the voice of the Holy Spirit as HE prods them to share the Good News. Bro Ronnie, an elder, was teary eyed as he shared the Lord’s vision for Word for the World, The Lord was directing them to a certain group of communities that they have neglected for many years. They now have a target area to saturate with the Gospel, and that is where the new church building is located. Glory to God, as these new graduates committed to a weekly evangelism until the Lord comes.

Bunawan Practicum

These are students witnessing in practicums in Bunawan, Agusan del Sur in Southern Mindanao

“On to Southern Mindanao!”

The 2nd batch is in Bunawan, Agusan del Sur, a first class municipality in Southern Mindanao and is popular because this is where Lolong, the world’s largest crocodile was captured. Equally excited as the first batch, they too felt a very powerful impact this training had in their ministry and in their Christian journey. They feel overwhelmed that God has given them a powerful tool to gun down the “old man” so they can be given a new creation. They clearly identified the pitfalls or their shortcomings in sharing the Gospel and learned that an unbeliever does not understand spiritual things yet. Aubrey enjoyed the practicum in the school and Pastor Ernor increased his intensity to evangelize and was really surprised the words “Born Again” can be used to win a soul for Jesus. Thanks be to God who sent them the fire of evangelism thru this training and they made a vow to do the harvest for Jesus in and out of season. They were encouraged with the thought that they can now be reapers in God’s vineyard!
Lapaz Training

At the Methodist Church In La Paz, Agusan del Sur, and one of the students sharing
the Gospel to youth in their school. (Praise the Lord we can still do that here!)

“And to the uttermost parts of the world!”

After 5 hours of land trip from Bunawan, the team proceeded to the 3rd batch in La Paz, Agusan del Sur, that looked like another uttermost part of the earth (We’ve been to several of these places). More than 100 participants which included Roman Catholics and was held in First Methodist Church. The Catholics were the first to taste the magnum 357, we took them to room at the church and shared the presentation to them, all 26 were born again, and most of them stayed till the end of the training. Amazingly, during the first practicum, a Catholic lady was the top soulwinner winning 16 souls to the Lord. Truly, God is a God of wonders and is a no respecter of persons. She had just been born again herself then led 16 people to the Lord on the first practicum, a very big BRAVO to the Lord and to her. This thrilled the others in the class and they were challenged to beat her record and this group ended with more than 2,400 souls.

I thank the Lord for His mighty work in January and I’m looking forward to move to greater heights in the next month. There had been a clamor to include this training as part of the curriculum in the Bible School in La Paz, and partnership with organizations who’ll want their teams to become powerful and unstoppable soulwinners. We are all mandated to Go and preach the Gospel to all the nations, and we will never stop, for whatever cost, until He comes. I just fervently pray for people who believe in this Ministry as a vehicle for God’s mandate on evangelism to come into fulfillment. As a powerful US Evangelist received the word from God that this year is Our Year of Abundant Harvest, He shall provide seeds for the sower, and you shall be given an abundant harvest to keep this ministry going, to bring Hope to a hopeless world and send Good News to our hurting brothers and sisters. And as we sow, shall we reap….Keep on sowing the seeds for the abundant harvest of souls, and healing to the sick, and others. A grain of corn brings cobs of corn, Amen?

To God be the glory,
Ptra Remy T Mordeno

Note from Tony:

We just want to Praise the Lord for these wonderful seminars that continue in spite of our focus being so heavy on the construction of the New Mission Center here in Manila. God has blessed us with such a great staff and He continues to supply our needs according to His riches and Glory. This construction has been so difficult yet we’ve been able to maintain the momentum of the school during this difficult time. Many of you know how hard it is to build a house. I told the staff from the start of the construction that I didn’t want to slow down any during this time. God can handle it, Amen? We do ask that you pray about joining us with monthly support or any kind of support to help this ministry continue unimpeded! We mentioned in the last newsletter that we have a $49,000 deficit of over run to try and make up so we will have no debt when we are through building. This is good soil to sow your seed money. We are totally debt free and anything you sow goes into the school and mission center to perpetuate the gospel throughout the world. We literally have alumni in many nations of the world that have trained in our school.

“Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.” Luke 6:38

God bless you all. We love you, Tony & Calli Poole

house and Felicity

Felicity Privado (1983-2016) would be happy to see Dunamis rising from the ashes!

Dunamis Mission Center rises from the ashes
3 years after tragedy!

21 days from today marks the 3rd anniversary of the tragic fire that took the life of our precious daughter Felicity and destroyed our mission center here in Manila. Felicity is in heaven with Jesus and all our loved ones that have gone before us. It’s been very difficult to rise up out of those ashes and continue on without her. But with God’s merciful love and guidance we are rising up stronger than ever. Save our broken hearts from the loss of our daughter that grew up into a beautiful and powerful missionary that served God to the last minute of her life on February 17, 2016.

It’s taken more than 3 years to build the mission center back and it will be upon completion a symbol of the resilience, strength and power of our mighty God in our lives and all those that have supported us in prayer and more. We can’t tell you how much your prayers mean and have meant to us during these trials we have suffered through rising up from total destruction thou our hearts be thorn out and exposed, yet putting on the whole armor of God that we could stand against the wiles of the devil and all the host of wickedness in heavenly places that tried to destroy our family and ministry on that fateful day. We have continued to stand, girding ourselves with truth, putting on the breast plate of righteousness, having shod our feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace, taking the shield of faith which we have been able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one, which there have been many! And we have put on the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit which is the precious word of God; praying always in all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and boldly speaking the word of God since that life changing day, we have risen to fight again even from the that very devastating time. Six days after the mission center burned to the ground, we went to Cagayan de Oro on Mindanao Island, and did a mobile training seminar to strike back at the enemy that had dealt us such a blow. During that 3 day seminar more than 3,100 souls were saved during the class practicums in that city. We stood and continue to stand for the perpetuation of the Gospel, with all our hearts! Praise be to God for His strength to continue to fight the good fight, Amen!

“What a God!”

It has been a long battle getting our mission center built back, it seems like every inch has been a struggle, yet truly the word of God prevails in that “All things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” Every delay birthed changes that were beneficial to the final result. God is amazing. We gripe about the delays and want everything to be done, “NOW”! Yet, every time we are delayed something good comes out of it! Duh!!!!!

Prayers Answered “Back to work”!

After 5 weeks of shut down, we are back to building the center. Ironically, the Lord’s Word held true again, in that thou there have been force fed changes made because of height restrictions we have ended up again with more and better as a result of the trauma! There is no way those changes that are so good would have happened if we had not run into a snag and stopped the construction! By now we would have already gone way too far on the construction to have been able to correct what needed to be corrected. We estimate 4 months to completion. I hope some of you will come and visit after we are through. You’d love it! We are enclosing a few pictures that give you an idea of the construction, but you’ll have to wait and see the final result to a appreciate just how wonderful the center will be and all the uses. Main thing, this will be Dunamis International School of Evangelism headquarters. This will be a permanent thorn in the devils eye ball! We will deliver, care of God’s Angels, a devastating blow to the kingdom of darkness to as much of the world as possible in our life times and beyond. Dunamis will not die with us, it will go on, just as it is right now. While we are covered up with the construction, our team is in Mindanao doing two seminars that have yielded more than 3,000 souls and that is just the beginning of the wave of evangelism that more than 70 pastors will launch from the training on that Island. The fight will not end when we are gone my friends. We are placing the weapons of warfare in the hands of these pastors and leaders to spread the Gospel throughout the world, Amen!

There are about 20 to 25 workers on site each day, a lot going on, and we have 2 foremen overseeing it all. We can tell right now that the completion of the project will take more money than we originally contracted for. We had let some people go that we started with due to mishandling and errors that had to be corrected. We are confident in our work force now and things are moving the way they should. Errors, changes, and mishandling we estimate cost will be about $69,000 more than budgeted. We were ready for the around $20,000 over, so we are going to be about $49,000 short to finish. Good news we don’t owe anything on the land or the building so far. We wanted to be debt free at the end of the project with a permanent presence here in the Philippines! Please pray about helping eliminate the overage. Remember this center will live on after we are gone, continuing the fight for men’s souls till Jesus comes, Amen y’all! You will be sowing into a perpetual river of souls generated by the training school that will live on far after we are all gone. After the center is gone to dust, the river of souls will continue because we are training pastors and leaders and they multiply themselves. Never, I say Never ending till the Lord returns, Amen! Please join us in this battle for men’s souls! Help us build the Kingdom of God!

Love you all,
Tony, Calli
